Chicane - Saltwater (I believe it was from the 90's although I maybe wrong)
Special mention to D:Ream - Things can only get better (Remember the Labour Party theme tune - how ironic that the same could be used by the opposition for the current day!) |

Know By Now by Robert Palmer was IMO his most dynamic and accessible 'pop' song in years, although it was only a minor hit in the UK:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8qY2qd0edE I found it through the marvellous Now 29, which was a beacon of light in the series in the mid-90s admist a sea of musical mediocrity in the few preceding and following volumes. It was jam-packed with loads of quality big and lesser known hits, from that strange period when songs had actually begun to climb the charts again and were hanging around for weeks on end. Unfortunately, it also had a load of 'jungle' and R-N-B type crap which signalled the beginnings of its chart infestation that has regrettably prevailed to this day. |

Plus, the suspiciously slightly older one with the blond hair was very nice. |

Was Not Was - Shake Your Head
I liked that one, but I preferred their track 'How The Heart Behaves'. It wasn't a hit, but I thought it was top notch. I'm still puzzled why it didn't chart higher than it did. |
