Alexandra only sold 89k this time last week. Cheryl has already outsold her. Looks like those who said that other poster was wrong and said Cheryl would never outsell Alexandra need some humble pie!

I do however think this is her peak week. I think its all downhill from here. There is always the risk of when someone becomes so successful and so hyped that backlashes happen. I think she is due a one knowing how the media work. There is that great saying. 'Build them up to knock them down' Cheryl isn't just another pop star. She is a hyped to the hilt popstar through PR spin and mass X Factor backing. Once that bubble burts it will not be pretty for her. She fits this bill too much and there is already a lot of resentment towards her building up within the industry.

Well Done Cheryl, her performance on Sunday was amazing. It may not have been 100% live but the dancing was far beyond what I expected of her. Brilliant sales.

Actually I thought the reverse Alexandra's album is generic,cheesy and weak where as Cheryl's is surprisingly good.

it's the fact that thousands of kids are buying the song not because it's any good, but because it's Cheryl Cole. don't give me all that 'personal taste' rubbish, anyone with half a brain can hear that the song is average at best. i'm not saying every other song in the charts is brillliant, but if Fight For This Love was by a new artist then no-one would care about it.

don't try and kid yourself that those sales are down to the song, Cheryl could of released any song and all her child fans would go crazy about it and buy it.

It's not just kids buying it through is it? Everyone I know loves it and they are in their 20s!

Solo Spice singles all did pretty well at first didn't they, and Victoria and Mel B have had illustrious pop careers off of the back of their big debuts haven't they?
Cheryl's song is really awful, but so are most of this year's number ones. I have no doubt she will be succesful for a while, but she's still the least talented one in a girl band!

I was just thinking the exact same thing. It's a terrible (not to mention, extremely repetitive) song. It's sales don't surprise me though, afterall we are livng in a world where Cascada beat Michael Jackson to Number 1...

I hope Simon Cowell is happy with all his millions of pounds, because with trash like X Factor winners being number 1 all the time he's effectively killed the music industry.
