I think Cheryl Cole will win that, as it's voted for by the public

Girls Aloud won it last year, so their fans have the power to do it.”

Ohh interesting. What are the YTD charts, if you don't mind me asking ?

Ohh interesting. I don't think they will include Lady GaGa, BEP, Rage Against The Machine and David Guetta though as there not british !

Who are the Top 15 ?

Those figures are on Wikipedia (no source quoted but I can't see them on TOCC's website). I'm surprised La Roux has sold as many copies and 'only' reaching number two as well. Impressive.

Not much help but Lily Allen wasn't far off the top 10 apparently.

The organisers wanted to stop the Brit Awards being a Take That love-in so I wouldn't be surprised if they leave them off the shortlist yet again.

If that's the case, and if the nominations for British Single is based on these, I think the above will be nominated as they are the top ones from the lead british acts. As well as ONE other.

It's also possible James Morrison might not be nominated as his single was out in 2008, it just sold well in 2009 as well, am I right ?

Peter Andre is not British. Annie Lennox is.

I don't think I'll be watching this years awards. I don't think I can sit through another rendition of Pokemyface, by the Gaga!

I would love for Paloma to win best british female for a shock. She has had the lowest success compared to Pixie, Boots, Roux and Florence. Something like that could create coverage for her.
Amazing

I think British Male will go to Paulo Nutini. Can't see James Morrison being eligible having already had a nomination last year for his second album. Don't think Robbie will be included either with him receiving the life achievement award.
