It's the S&G classic but there are many more S&G which I find equally good. Paul Simon is a song writing genius

I tend to hear it a lot these days within harmony choirs and the like

I love the Johnny Cash version. It's so emotive

I love Aretha Franklin's version of it!

I also like Whitney Houston's live performance of it too from the 90s.

It's a great song, and no one sings it better than Art Garfunkel.

However, I could pick many even better songs that they did. They were one of the best 60s bands (is a duo a band?) around, and have an astonishing catalogue.

I think Sound Of Silence still takes some beating.

Agree with all of that. I discovered them through my parents and even now I still listen to them regularly.

I would also add the Boxer to that list. Pure class song.

I saw them live in Manchester a few years ago and they were brilliant.

First album I ever bought as a teenager many years ago, and always a favourite despite my very eclectic taste in music (Pink Floyd fanatic!)

I love S & G. While Bridge Over troubled Water is often defined as *the* classic S & G song there are several that are better if not superior, America, The Boxer, The Sound of Silence, Kathy's Song, Homeward Bound.
Paul Simon IMO is up there with the song writing class of Lennon & McCartney.

Mine too, it's a beautiful tune and great lyrics that really paint a picture. I love 'At The Zoo' and 'Only Living Boy In NY' as well.

I always thought the final verse of 'Bridge' sounded a bit stuck on.

Fantastic song with a very emotional vocal from AG.

Great album as well, despite the throwaway version of Bye Bye Love. Every track stands out and is memorable - I personally love Keep The Customer Satisfied and The Only Living Boy In New York.

It's amazing the S&G only recorded 5 studio albums but they obviously have a lot of affection for each other, it's seemingly just their stubborness that leads to the arguements and "creative differences".

Also BOTW gave Half Man Half Biscuit my favourite album titles of theirs:

Trouble In Bridgewater!!
