As a starting point, I define celebs as actors, singers, television presenters, politicians, sports people and reality tv stars.

Who would you like to see on Strictly? They need to fun and entertaining.

It would be a massive coup for Strictly to sign up Peter Andre and Katie Price wouldn't it. What do you think?

Okay, I'd like to see-

Shaznay Lewis- Singer/ Ex-All Saints Member
Britt Ekland- Actress
Sian Williams- BBC Breakfast Anchor
Jenny Eclair- Comedienne/ Grumpy Old Women Star
Lisa Butcher- Fashion Model/ TV Fashion Guru
Kirsty Gallacher- TV Presenter
Jackie Brambles- DJ/ Former Loose Women Presenter
Anna Kournikova- Retired Tennis Ace

Only men I can think of-

Trevor Nelson- DJ
Frank Bruno- Former Boxer
Michael Buerk- Newsreader
Jon Culshaw- TV Impressionist

Yes to Jenny Eclair.
Sue Barker.
2 peeps off EastEnders. That's compulsory - you do know that, don't you? Minimum.
Michael McIntyre (I adore him).
David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan. They love tight trousers and I love Eddie Jordan.

NOT Jordan. NOT Jordan. Shall I repeat that or is it clearly understood?
Peter Andre - yes.

Lots of Labour politicians will be available. Try a certain G Brown.

LOL

I actually have nobody in mind at the moment (my brain's been melted by the amount of reading I've just done), but after 6 hours of reading about the hunting techniques of jumping spiders, that was the first line to make me laugh

Oh, I just reread the OP.
They need to be fun and entertaining. That rules out Gordon then.

Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue. At least the abomination that is XFactor would then be no more!

Fiona Bruce has been asked since series 2 but has always refused. Odd in a way because she's gorgeous, has a sublime figure and - Children in Need shows - is quite a performer.

Whilst we're on the subject I'd love to see Mishal Husain, another lovely BBC news reader. Maybe she could dance with Anton; they did the Underdog SHow together?

If we're honestly living in a perfect world I would have a lot more newsroom input, as we have seen with Chris & Bill, they never let us down entertainment wise so ...

Fiona Bruce
Emily Maitlis
Sian Williams

She's not a newsreader but I know Julia Bradbury loves a good dance.

Yes...good point. Lets ask them. Maybe we could get Holly Willowtree and Phil Schofield so there would be no more Strictly Come Ice Skating!

Emily Maitlis would be good. What about some old Childrens' TV presenters.

Lets see...Sarah Greene, John Craven, Floella Benjamin...

What about ex-Neighbours actors. Madge and Harold? There are loads floating out there.

Every year I dream of David Coulthard in tails. I know it's not going to happen due to other commitments... but maybe one day!

You got there before me Tumpy. He looks good in a suit or casual and has indicated that he would like to do it. However, if he goes for panto each year he wouldn't be able to.
