Vodaphone Free SIM
Yesterday I purchased a free SIM card which came with £5 credit on it. I've never done this before so I'm stuck. I got an old phone of mine (as my current one is broke) and put the new SIM card in. Is the £5 just texting credit, so I have to activate the SIM?
It won't send texts and keeps saying 'incorrect number'. I'm lost as to what to do.. Any help much appreciated. Thanks. |

Anyways, get the mobile number (by dialling *#100#) and then call the it, see if it rings as this will prove that it's 'live' as such. Make sure the credit is actually on there - sometimes you get given it after you've topped up. Dial *#1345# to find out. I'm fairly sure that Vodafone don't make you register so that shouldn't be a problem. It sounds like the message centre number might be wrong - check it, it should be +447785016005. Change it to that if it isn't correct. All else fails - call vodafone up. |

+1 - it was the first thing that came into my head when reading the OP.
