Prank Calls

Hi, I have been receiving several prank calls from this number:

08442533752

It hangs up before I get a chance to answer and because its an 08 number I'm reluctant to call it back.

Does anyone know who might be doing this?

I've just Googled the number and its included on this website:

Apparently its a solicitor's number???

Well neither do I.....its just peeing me off, I don't know how they got my number either!!

Have logged a complaint on the website and registered my mobile number with TPS, so will have to see if they stop.

Don't you have call filter in your calling options on phone?

Could have found you randomly but as they display the number I doubt it as they can get fined - I get plenty with number blocked and yes it's annoying cos of the increasing frequency they call

I have a Blackberry and unfortunately you can't block individual numbers on the phone.

Hi all, I have been having a simler problem with an 08 number, when I phoned it back to see who it was it just said they weren't available and to leave a message but I didn't this has been happening for months now (about 1-2 times per month). I call my network provider o2 an all they said is that they cannot do anything to block the number all they can do is change my number (so I got angry and said why should I) they then told me if I had a samsung phone I could block this. (I have changed to pay monthly about 2 weeks ago). Does the iPhone have the option to block numbers?

You can get an App to block calls only if you jailbreak. I don't know if O2 offer the service under parental control...Give them a bell and ask...
