Hey, thanks for that .

I thought Maria was very impressive in that episode. She could be the suprise of this series.

Darryl Strawberry and Sinbad are quite well known in the US, although they're past their prime. They were more famous a decade or two ago. Cyndi Lauper is similarly quite famous but not as famous as she was 20 years ago. Goldberg is well known to a niche audience, but I've heard of him before. I would say Holly Robinson is most famous for 21 Jump Street (awesome show), but she was never an A-lister.

Curtis Stone is the only person on the men's team I hadn't heard of. There are quite a few on the women's team. I've heard of 6 out of 7 of the men, but only 3 out of 7 of the women this year, and it was similar in previous years.

The person I was asking that of was not in the US. And I don't believe either IS known in the UK. Certainly not better known than Cyndi Lauper who is a world wide music star. I have been informed the Hanging with Mr. Cooper was shown in the UK, the sitcom that she starred in. I don't remember her from 21 Jump Street so I don't agree that she's most well known for that myself.

I've heard of Goldberg and I don't like or watch wrestling. Again can't say if he would be known in the UK. Don't think so but no idea. He is more well known than most wrestlers outside of wrestling. He's a big personality and very likable and does a lot of charity work which is where I know him from.

What I was saying had nothing to do with their celebrity in the US, it was about their celebrity in the UK. Cyndi is BIG, she's not stopped touring in all these years. She's not a star from 20 years ago, she's still a star 20 years on.

Annoying how it was fixed for the women to win. They didn't even make an advertorial.

And readers would have read the men's advertorial. That's what people who read magazines do... they read them.

Yeah...and the women messed up the presentation too (one of the things they were being judged on). While there was room for improvement in the men's final product, the women didn't even do what they were told to do.

Maybe Strawberry was going to leave anyway, and they did this to make it look a bit better? It was ridiculous anyway.

And I really hope Lauper gets the boot soon.

Im from the UK and as for who I instantly reconised
- Cyndi (Music still popular here)
- Sharon (Used to Host X Factor... Oh and shes ozzy's wife a-duh)
- Goldberg (Legendary Wrestler)
- Bret Micheals (Freeview channel TMF, now VIVA, airing repeats of Rock of f*ck)

And thats it :/

She had a starring role in all 5 seasons of both shows, so was equally prominent in both shows. But 21 Jump Street came first, that was her big break. Both shows had similar Nielsen ratings of around 10. But of the two 21 Jump Street is clearly the one that is better remembered years later. Today on imdb it has 2177 votes and a rating of 7.1, while Hanging with Mr. Cooper has a rating of 5.7 and 535 votes. The DVDs for 21 Jump Street still sell decently, while the DVDs for hanging with Mr. Cooper are discontinued.

I don't think it was fixed that the women won. Their advert was better presented and integrated Sharon as the spoken women for the brand a lot better than the mens.

The mens was just an essay with a few pictures of a random celebrity chef that didn't fit in with the product at all.

Anyway both did a bad job overall, the women just edged it on not being the worst.

As for the sacking, what a shock. Do you really think he took the hit for the "good of the team" or was Mr.Trump right he just wanted to go home and was trying to look macho while in fact whimping out?

The girls team are really bitchy, I can see a good fight coming up soon. They are being really mean to cyndi and i dont think that she knows how to stand up for herself. Sharon is having to step in to put the two of them straight, but that gets her into trouble then. I feel sorry for cyndi as its like shes being bullied. Those two women can be really nasty.

On the guys team, they are all so bloody boring. I only like watching the stone as hes a good one to look at. They did really crap with the Harry potter attraction, i think the right person got fired as he was bloody useless.

The show does seem dragged out and the boardroom seems to be going on forever.

the show could have been much better if it was condensed down into a 1 hour show as it would make it more entertaining to watch.

Selita shouldn't have gone home. The team leader made all the wrong decisions about focusing on mums and decided the 10 second ad should be an edit. Maria did the editing.

They both contributed to the team losing.

I hate when people get fired for not fighting in the board room. Maybe she was comfortable because she knew she had done nothing wrong...

I did think there was a good cause for Selita going since she seemed to contribute least to the task and was identified as the weak link.

But, I did think team leader got off a bit too lightly since she was essentially to blame for the task failing.

However, I was more pleased that Maria remained! She's probably my favourite and that horrible girl-clique was obviously gunning for her.

Did find a few things ridiculous there. Holly was told that Cyndi couldn't be fired. Really? But, she was there during the second day so that didn't really seem fair... And so Michael's gone now and not coming back? Hmm. That was so sudden and odd. And Sharon's complete absense was strange, I thought she'd have at least been featured unless she's gone home or something?

Feel a bit sorry for Cyndi because I think she gets picked on and will be embarassed when she watches it back. She's getting made a fool of. Though, she's the most famous and successful of any of them!

That depends on how you look at it. I'll daresay that Michael is the most successful (but not the most famous).
Anyway, the whole thing is a joke. More than half of the people couldn't care less about being there (how many people have either quit, tried to quit (and then got fired afterwards because of it) or been absent for some time during the three seasons? MANY.

Trump's decision making is totally random. Sometimes it's based on the tasks, but most times it's not. If you're not that famous and don't create enough drama, you'll be gone by mid-series regardless of how good you are (especially if you're a female). Trump also applies so many double standards that it's awful.

It is interesting this season how outside issues have affected the show, but stuff happens, and in a couple of cases you have to feel bad that some of them have had issues, ilness or family problems that meant they had to leave. Bet they are gutted though, I think in the majority of cases they really do want to do the best they can for their charity.

Have to feel bad for Bret the most, he is still there even with the problems with his daugther. I want him to win, he has been the most interesting and real so far out of everyone.

How do people feel about Cyndi? I'm a bit torn because although I think she would be a nightmare to work with I also feel that she doesn't get enough respect from her teammates and is a bit ganged-up on.

I liked Sharon coming back because it shifted the dynamic back in the right way. Although if she gets any more sick-leave it'll be ridiculous.

It feels like the numbers are way down even though we're only one episode six. Only two guys left now.

I've just watched the first ep (am trying to avoid the spoilers) and much as I love The Apprentice I'm not sure I can watch much more because I feel so sorry for Cyndi!

She seems like a little flower who is going to get stamped on very soon. I think she comes across as a really decent person but totally not cut out for the cut-throat world of TA.

Spoiler
5 women and 2 men. WOW. The women are always a lot stronger I think.

I still think the next three to go will be all women - Summer, Holly and Maria. Hopefully I'm wrong, but Summer hasn't got long

If it's like earlier seasons, the answer is yes. The exception is the live part of the finale.
