Whether that was inaccurate or what I dunno, but he was measured at a Science Fitness Lab thing for the ITT feature and it put him if a remember rightly at just over 5ft 7in. I am a size 12 with curves, i.e largish boobs and bum and I go in a bit at the middle (that is my definition of curvy anyway) and I am 164cm which is just slightly over 5ft 4in. The two times I have met Vincent I have had over three inch heels on and he has had formal or dance shoes on (guessing here about 1 to 1 1/2 inches[ish]). Both times I have stood night next to him tall and he has been at least 2 inches taller than me.
The perfect height difference for ballroom (and I mean standard and not latin) between a man and a woman (I am talking perfect here) is for the lady to be around 3 inches smaller than the man (with her dance shoes on). Natalie and Vincent do not have a great height difference between them but he is slightly taller than her even with her dance shoes on.
It does not give the same effect when standard dancing or doing lifts professionally if the lady is the same height or taller than her dance partner. I can completely understand why Vincent decided not to do lifts with her on this occasion, but not for one minute do I believe he cannot lift her comfortably. Of course she is one of the heavier girls we have seem him lift (and yes if you remember back he did lift her at the beginning of the series in a group dance, when she apparently weighed at least a stone more, and he did so with ease).
Dancers generally and like Vincent and Flavia and the rest of the pros have amazing amounts of core strength and are usually very much stronger than they look.
I don't understand why people are so cruel as to make an issue over whether or not Natalie is lying or deluded about being a size 12. We all come in different shapes and sizes and I for one am glad that we do. I am sure there are alot people out there who can only feel better about themselves by putting others down and pointing out peoples "flaws"??!! and I hope that Natalie doesn't read this thread because I am sure she would be heartbroken. She is not only a "real woman" as some people like to say, she is a real person with feelings and I for one believe her when she says she is a 12. Does it really matter anyway? Would it have made people feel better if she had said I am a size 14 or 16??”
You're reading too much into this.
The question has always been; "Is she or isn't she?" Personally, I've no idea, but I've yet to be convinced.
Those who think she isn't, are actually judging her size by what they see on TV, whether they then relate this to comparisons of their own figure is just them exercising their perception.
How some can interpret the doubts raised as something to do with having a "weight problem" of their own, just make me smile. Sounds like a bit of an agenda there.
As for the one who suggested that the people questioning her statement on this thread were in effect; "sustaining an insidious industry," had me laughing.
