How do you know? Have you bought her a dress? Do you have access to her wardrobe? I used to work at Carlton TV and all of the presenters said how the camera adds pounds. They were so aware of how they looked in front of the cameras - some of them did look 'chunky' on TV when in real life they were really slim!

How tall is she? If she's 5'4 or shorter, she could possibly be a large 12 but if she's any taller then she's a 14.

Definately not a 16.

Size 12 my arse!

Sorry but just because you can squeeze into a size 12 it does not make you a size 12.

*Please note that I am speaking from the point of view of a fuller figure lady who believes women should just love themselves no matter what size*

I've already commented on this on another thread (problem with having multiple threads). The SCD dresses are for sale on the DSI website and the waist measurements given for Natalie's dresses are consistent with those of a size 12.

But if you look at the pros dresses there seem to be only two sets of measurements (one the same as Natalies and one smaller), when it's obvious that they are all different sizes so I don't think that proves anything.

Most women knock a size off though don't they to be fair. I sometimes say i'm a size 10 - I can get a 10 on but if I want to breathe or sit down I need a 12.

I cant believe a thread has been set up discussing Natalie's dress size...FFS....arent there more interesting topics to talk about???????

No wonder people are paranoid about size when someone makes a throw away comment and then pages upon pages of comments are created by people agreeing/disagreeing on your size! ITS A DANCE SHOW....NOT A MODELLING COMPEITION FOR SIZE ZERO MODELS!

A size 12 dress equals a waist size of 28-30 inches

On the Dance Sport International website where they sell off the SCD dresses theres a dress of hers listed as a 72cm waist (28.4inches)

She's smaller than she looks on screen i think

High street dress sizes are a mare though. I can be a 10 in one shop and a 12 in another. Only last week I tried a dress on in Monsoon in a size 10 which fitted my waist and hips but was too tight around the bust.

These dresses are made to measure, so if they are coming out at a 12, they are a 12!

Vincent doesn't have to lift her. All the lifts were rubbish tonight, i haven't seen a decent lift for ages, and their dance was all the better for not bothering.

Incidently, Matt C had an issue lifting Alesha, no probs for them.

Missfrankiecat. I'm genuinely confused. I can only see one set of measurements for each dress unless I'm missing something. Anyway, I don't think it matters that much. It's her dancing that's important. I like an AS with no lifts.

To be fair, she (Natalie) brought it up?

No, the questions are why you decide to create such a thread when:
A/ It's nasty
B/ There's one already
C/ It's nothing to do with you
D/ You have no proof that it's a "blatant lie". Even with double exclamation marks added.

Feel free to answer those questions.

She looks like a 12 on top, 14 on bottom to me.

I defended only the fact that Natalie herself brought it up . I am not defending that , How do you know its a lie ? Unless you made the dress you wouldnt .

Ok - I shall.

A - Its not, I am questioning her statement which I am entitled to do on a forum
B - I didn't realise this as the title wasn't obvious, I apologise for duplications
C - I have an opinion and its "to do with me" as a viewer and license fee payer
D - I have eyes though! And as a woman who is a good judge of sizes can see she clearly has underestimated her dress size.

People keep bringing it up over and over and over and over.

Oh come on. Its bound to cause debate. I'm around her size and am happy to admit it. She really doesn't look a size 12 (despite the old - bigger on tv addage) and by saying that - it was clearly dropping a cat amongst the pigeons. I dont have a problem with her size or people discussing it, in fact I think people pussy foot too much around her because of it. " She's so brave, entertaining blah blah".

Weight is a huge issue for the health service in this country. I admit i need to eat less/better and exercise more. Denial gets no-one anywhere.

I think she draws attention to her weight/size to encourage 'ordinary' women to vote for her. Why wouldn't she, it worked after all - she got enough votes. Who on here can honestly say they've never fibbed about their dress size (if she has), I know I have

She looks slimmer in real life and I don't really care I like her and I think it's great someone on tv has said that dieting made her miserable and has decided she's happy the way she is.

I think everyone has just gone into overdrive about the weight issue...why cant we concentrate on the dancing?

I could put on a size 6 top but it wouldn't fit and wearing it wouldn't make me that size. She's a 14 on top and bigger on the bottom. Her mentioning that made this thread inevitable.

Exactly. (Though plenty of ordinary women are slender.)

Why can't she? She raised the issue of her size.
