I'm so glad to see this thread!

Absolutely well done, Brendan! I started laughing and clapping when he lifted Jo at the beginning of that last dance.

I'm sure Jo had the time of her life. They were really a great partnership, and I've never really taken to Brendan until this series. I was fine with his walking off last week, and that last samba was perfect. Can't say anything bad about him tonight.

I loved that lift he did, blatant rule break because he knew it was his last dance with Jo and therefore completely charming.

I've always been a Brendan fan cos his passion and drive has become part and parcel of Strictly for me.

He really took on a lot with Jo, probably knowing (as I'm sure the pro's must have an inkling) that he wasn't going to win with her; which must be hard for someone like Brendan to take. He took a woman who'd been through an awful lot and put a smile on her face, shows how much he's grown because I don't think he's ever had to be so patient in his life! Loved watching them, gutted they're gone, but it was the right decision tonight.

Another previously reluctant joiner of the Brendan fan club. He really was an utter professional and a nice man with Jo, unselfishly making her experience the priority.

Interesting that the judges commented on how dancing with Jo has changed Brendan. She obviously has agreat sense of fun and let's hope he's learnt something. He did do well and tried to let her shine rather than himself.

I've always found him a loathsome little man but my goodness, I've seen another side of him! He has been charming caring and a thoroughly nice person this series. For the first time, I'm sorry to see him go out.

Its been lovely seeing this side of Brendan (which i'm sure has always been there) coming out. Maybe in part because he'd been handed a partner he was never going to go that far through the series with. What he did do was make the best of what he'd been given and i'm sure Jo has enjoyed her strictly experience all the more for it.

Can't believe it but i've liked him tremendously this year.

It doesn't take much of a leap of imagination to realise that Jo and Brendan knew this was the last dance.
Pretty much confirmed by that lift that he cheekily added.

I'm no fan of Brendan, but he has done a remarkable job with Jo to get her to where she pulled off a semi-decent performance last week, his choreography has been great and well suited to Jo.

he really has (apart from his little tantrum last week) will he be back for the next series i wonder

Brendan haters please refrain from posting, there are plenty of Brendan bashing threads for you. This is a positive thread!

I just wanted to sat Well done to Brendan for that Dance off. He really made sure Jo had the time of her life and went out with a bang and there was so much enthusiasm from him and it made it really enjoyable. It was far from perfect but it was certainly one of the most enjoyable dance off farewells ever for that reason!

Bravo Brendan... I for one will miss u till next year
Sorry, but I may be what you would call a "Brendan hater". Even so I am going to post here: I think his ego is over the top but he really is a marvellous dancer and I hope he gets someone worthy of his talent if he comes back again next year. He's had no-hopers for far too long.

Brendan was actually already getting praise for his choreography and teaching skills most weeks last year. Lisa is still talks very highly of him.

However, I found the partnership Brendan had with Jo lovely and heart-warming, I am sure he contributed enormously to her enjoyment - she knew she could always rely on him and his support no matter what.

And how nice of Brendan to invite her to dance the rumba with him on his tour, I am not sure whether it is at one venue or all but I am sure she will love the experience and it makes leaving the competition that much easier - it is the sudden end that makes it so difficult for the celebrities when they are eliminated.

Brendan was really good with Jo Wood. He brought the best out in her, mind you she was lovely and hard working. Brendan is excellent, he has grown up over the several series of SCD.

Have to agree with the tone of this thread, apart from last week I really do think he's been marvellous with Jo. It made a refreshing change to see a Pro with a bad dancer actually work with them to show off what little ability they had, rather than try to turn it all into one big joke.

Well done Brendan.

Hope not - he's probably trying to earn some extra money for his wedding next year

And why not? If their profile has been lifted sufficiently to support such a tour, then they would be silly not to take advantage.

Brendan and Jo seem to have a genuine liking for each other, I think he has been a good friend, as well as instructor with her. There is an air of vulnerability about Jo that has perhaps brought this out in him, but I think he was also very good with Lisa last year. Yes, he is competitive, but it is, after all, a competition. I love his dancing, and I think this nice side of him has always been there, just that he is showing it more obviously this year.

It's just a shame the judges - save Alesha - couldn't follow through and be a bit more respectful to Jo in their final dance-off vote. Obviously she wasn't going to go through but there was no reason to be as curt as Craig was or for Bruno to say, "That's easy!"

Those two are so tactless they should replace them next year.

I have to include myself in the ranks of those who are not overly fond of Brendan, but I too have seen a different side of him this year.

He has been very patient with Jo, and Len was quite right to praise his choreography. It was nice to see them acknowledge the work he's been putting in this year.

Well done indeed Brendan!

Well done to Brendan, he has been so so sweet with Jo.

It can't have been easy when he is such a competitor, but he was nothing but chivalrous towards Jo and shows what a great dancer he was to move her around the floor and it didn't look that bad tbh.

Just wish he had been paired with Laila, I really think they would have ripped the floor by now whereas Anton is just a damp squib.

Truely, well done Brendan.

Exactly ,I'm enjoying the oppurtunity to see them away from SCD and wishing for many more of these shows

Talking about the 'Tour' ...... when Brendan mentioned that Jo was to appear on HIS tour, Brucie was almost at the thought that Brendan was talking about the SCD tour, and Jo may be appearing on that.
