What rubbish. They have a great partnership. Have you watched any of their training clips shown on ITT? It really amazes me how people can come out with such nasty, negative comments . Have you been to their training sessions? Have you spoken to Flavia or Craig?
Its astounding how people want to project their own negativity onto others without knowing any of the facts. |

But many seem to not consider that its possible he may not have it in him to be as good as the others (and bless him for that as he tries). And if she looks shocked that they are kept in with low scores then it doesn't mean she doesn't want to stay in, it means she's surprised, I'd rather that than a professional expect it! |

I agree, the quoted poster was also clearly blind to the hug Flavia gave Craig after their scores came in, the hug she gave Craig after the dance, the pat on the back and smile she gave him after the dance. Yeah, so unencouraging

And if she looks shocked that they are kept in with low scores then it doesn't mean she doesn't want to stay in, it means she's surprised, I'd rather that than a professional expect it! I also saw the fact that there doesn't seem to be much of a rapport between them, both in VTs and on ITT. She might hug him but she doesn't say much. The only time I really hear her say anything is in training. I know we only get to see edits but to me it just seems like he isn't getting the steps and she doesn't know what else to do with him. What I see is a nervous smile that falters a little from time to time and doesn't quite extend to her eyes. Especially noticeable was in the dance-off with Lynda and Darren - she smiled when she thought her and Craig were eliminated, but the smile disappeared when Len unexpectedly saved them. Why she looked shocked when they made it through to next week is open to interpretation as well, it doesn't necessarily mean she wants to stay in the competition. I really rate Flavia as a dancer, and as I've said on other threads, it must be frustrating to have a partner with no dance ability at all, who is not improving as the weeks go on. The pros all state in their opening VTs that they want to win Strictly, reflecting on missed opportunities in the past, hope for the next series etc. Part of their professionalism is to put their heart and soul into supporting their partner regardless of ability. Some of the partnerships will be genuine friendships, but do you really think that all the pros are equally invested in their partners? That none of them think 'oh crap I've got the duffer again this year'? It's just a little too convenient that everyone is 'the best of friends' and 'have a great relationship'. Maybe I'm being cynical though... maybe the strictly producers can play match-maker for us all seeing as they have this 100% hit rate for pairing people together |

Btw the way I think Flavia is a fab dancer and Craig is trying really hard. I just don't think she wants him as her partner and it shows.

This is the thing with SC D they don't all get great dancers. They all work and try there best with what they have got and I really find it insulting for you to say that any pro dancer on hear wants to go out of SCD earlier just because there dancer has not got a chance of winning this thing and they cant be bothered carryin on They are all professional, completive and above all enjoy dancing and I'm sure also being in the spotlight in front of millions of viewers on a Saturday night is something they thrive on |

From a personal point of view I have in the past spoken to Flavia about what she likes about a partner for a show like Strictly. At the time when we spoke I was commenting about what happened last year with Phil Daniels.
[She said that Phil had not wanted to do the show, his family didnt really want him to do it, and thus he was never enthusiastic or really wanted to find the time to do it. I think probably his agent said he might as well do the show as there was nothing much else on the horizon.] She actually said to me that if she had a celeb who wanted to learn, even if they were pretty hopeless, and was enthusiastic to listen and really tried to improve it was better than having someone who really didnt want to learn or was just doing the show for career reasons etc. She said to me if she could impart the joy of dance to someone who took something away with them she would feel like she had done her job. With the case of Craig, Im sure she may have realised pretty early on that Craig didnt have a natural ability for dance but the fact that he still wanted to and learn will have been music to her ears and while he is still happy to try, Im sure she is happy to teach and would like to stay in. While he is up for the challenge, Im sure she will try to help him to be better. Unfortunately she really cant do much about his nerves. What people have to understand is that Flavia is very shy and thus often comes over as perhaps aloof. But Im sure she does get on with Craig in the way that she might not have got on with someone like Phil Tuffnel (they are so different characters). We have never seen before now the way Flavia gets on with a middling celebrity - and the way we saw her animated with Matt is never going to happen again for obvious reasons. I think they get on quite well but both are fairly quiet. |

I guess if all the pro dancers were being honest all the females would have wanted Ricky W and all the males would have liked Ali.

I didn't say Flavia wanted to go out early, I just think she is disappointed to have Craig as a partner and is finding it hard to muster up any enthusiasm for him.

They are funny on It Takes Two from last Tuesday, 20th of October, at about 17:00 minutes in...and Claudia and Craig have this classic exchange:
Craig: "I just hope I can stay in long enough to actually give the judges a dance they like-" Claudia: "I don't know if that's possible. Honestly..." Craig: "But they haven't said I can't dance!" Claudia: (making an uncertain face) "Yet. They've *alluded* to it, frankly..." |

It may not be exactly what she is feeling, but like others here when I see Flavia's reactions to being saved, to watching Craig move in the studio, to listening to Craig tell Claudia he thought they did a good job etc. I can see her visibly squirming with embarassment. Aloof and shy she may be, but her body language is quite the opposite ![]() No surprise some of her fans even appeal for people not to vote so she can be "rescued" from her ordeal Edit: because I dont want to sound like I was being harsh on Flavia, I just wish she would embrace the "ordeal" of getting a bit of a duffer as others have in the past - e.g. Kristina with John, Ola with Kenny. |

While I don't doubt this, it must be remembered it was said in the context of having just partnered Phil Daniels.

Well I think if Flavia doesn't want to dance with Craig then she should just make an effort to be more professional and hide it. Otherwise they should get rid of her next year and get in someone who can. She's not been part of SCD for as long as some, and she's already had one really good dancer - some professionals haven't.
Craig clearly can't dance, and doesn't even seem to understand that. Maybe people with no sense of rhythm don't even recognize rhythm so don't know when they haven't got it? Still, as he wants to go to Blackpool so badly I'd like him to go. He wouldn't be putting out a good dancer, only a slightly better dancer but one who still has no chance of winning. There are still a few of those left. |

She has bought it on herself.
She is cold to wards Craig and even laughs at him. She hardly sticks up for him or is encouraging. I totally blame his lack of progress on her, they have not connected, even though you can see he is trying to get her to like him. no offfence but.......rubbish |

As for Flavia not being cut out for Strictly, well most Strictly viewers I know (non forumers) really enjoy her presence in the show, and a couple are voting for her and Craig because they have enjoyed his dances (the ones Flavia choreographed for him) the last couple of weeks. Just because they aren't appealing to you doesn't mean they aren't appealing to others. |

How do you know that she isn't? You honestly think she's sitting on her ass not trying to help him improve? Did you not see the belt he was wearing in training this week to improve his posture?
