Digital Spy are usually on the pulse with breaking news but...

Morrissey has collapsed on stage in Swindon with breathing difficulties and was rushed to hospital. Hopefully he will be alright! He has been fighting a mystery illness for some time now...

Me to. It says in the Times article that he's stable, but I want to know for sure he's recovered.

He just seems to be more ill every time he gets ill... I really hope whatever he has doesn't beat him. We've lost enough great pop stars this year.

We have lost a scary amount of celebrities this year, but I don't really what to talk about him not making it.

He is way too brilliant to die. Well the Beeb say it's not life threatening so that's something... Just wish more things were confirmed properly before I go to sleep.

I hope beyond hope this is nothing serious, i saw him live at Brixton and he was a bundle of energy.

He is my idol and one of the few timeless artists still doing music

All the best Moz

Edit: I have read about the fans booing after he collapsed just because he couldn't finish, shame on them

That must have been terrrible for your daughter to witness.

He's one of our best lyricists in my opinion. I suppose his European tour dates hang in the balance at the moment.

Hope Morrissey makes a speedy recovery.

I hope he's alright. One of the all-time greats. He's obviously been having health problems, all the shows he's cancelled and everything. I have a feeling after this incident it's gonna be a while before he takes to the stage again.

Obviously he doesn't have to inform fans about his health but he shouldn't run the risk of this happening again and disappointing them, not to mention his own well-being. As sad as it would be, maybe he really does need to pack in the touring...

I read that to. Hardly a fan if you start booing the artist for being ill.

Yes, I read that. Shame indeed - and I wouldn't even grace them with the name 'fans'. Anyone who cares about Morrissey would naturally be upset at missing the show, but would certainly not boo him, even if he does have a tendancy to call off shows, but would wait to see what had happened first.

The news this morning are reporting that he is in a "stable condition" and that his problems are not life-threatening. Thank Heavens.

I know it's over
And it never really began
But in my heart it was so real

I saw this first thing this morning! I hope he's ok, I really do. I don't care if concerts are cancelled as long as he gets better again.
Oh I couldn't bear it if anything happened!
