Renting films via a set top box!
Recently coming back from America i saw advertised on their TV a set top box (quite small) and the latest film releases are sent to your box and you can rent one when you like, you can play it, pause it and forward or reverse it. I thought it was a great product and no late fees! I don't think it was via the phone line either it had a logo simeler to the old sky logo with a satelite beaming a signal to your home. Anyone else heard of this?

A bit like Sky Box office. Pay for the movie automatically, and switch to that channel just for the duration of the film.
I think a few area's of the UK have Video on demand, where you can "download" what you want. Dave |

Its called http://www.moviebeam.com its only testing at the minute in three US cities. The movies are transmitted to the set top box via the data part of a digital terrestrial television siginal from Disney owned ABC stations.
