Floor patterns

Does anyone else find the swirling light patterns on the floor horribly distracting? They're not coordinated with the music, and the dancing - particularly the footwork - gets lost against them.

There's plenty else going on. At least give us a clear floor to judge them on.

There is one particular pattern that bothers me , it a blue lines one that reminds me of bacteria growing in a Petrie dish .
I cant see beyond it !

I dont know how they manage to concentrate on the dances with all that swirling going on.

I have enough problem changing dance studios for my lessons without the added blue lights creating a recipe for nausea.

I agree.
The lighting chap co-ordinates the colours of the lights with the dress. So yesterday we had Natalie in a red dress, completely lost against a background of red floor patters.
