Sorry Craig you only deserve to go to Blackpool if you're not the worst dancer. There are many things we all want but can't have.

It has become such a big issue now brought about by all those working for the BBC i.e Bruce, Tess and Claudia that he will be saved by the public over maybe a better dancer next Sat.

All the really poor dancers have now been eliminated with the exception of Craig, so its going to tough at the bottom. Still if the judges are fair and he is in the bottom two next Sat against one of the better dancers, they should vote him off.

He will only be saved if the general public choses to save him

Which they will

I can't agree.

How well someone improves, how much they have engaged the audience, how much they have embraced dancing - despite not being the "best" - are all important factors for me and obviously the general audience.

If it was all about who was the best, then we may as well have had the final in week 2 with Ali and Ricky as the only contestants.

Craig Kelly should leave but I can see him getting through JUST so he gets to Blackpool. Phil Tufnell is probably the 2nd worst but his fanbase is huge. I predict a shock dance-off this weekend.

Sure he said that, after he and Jo had been knocked out. I never heard him say that at all when they were still in the competition though.

I don't think anything could be a shock. We've pretty much seen how the placings dont make anyone safe this year.

No, they don't.

The dancers near the top of the judges leaderboard sometimes only pick up a couple of more points than the bottom placed couples, and this, I think, makes the public vote more significant.

Good post, Groundhog.

Coronation Street star Craig Kelly has claimed that there is no chance of him walking out of Strictly Come Dancing.

Kelly told It Takes Two that he feels the judges are treating him "like a punchbag" on the show, but insisted that they won't deter him from continuing to perform.

"This punch bag thing, I'm not used to someone telling me I'm absolutely rubbish on live TV. I have no other choice but to take it on the chin," he said. "How sweet would that be, if I delivered a dance that made them all smile? I truly believe that I have got potential."

He added: "There's no way I will walk away from this competition thinking I didn't give it 145%. I've been in the dance-off twice, but I beat it and came through. I will never give up."

Speaking about his target of reaching the Blackpool show on November 7, he maintained: "If I can make it to Blackpool, that would be unbelievable. The thing is, I don't want to be greedy, every week is a bonus. The problem is that when you perform on a Saturday, you just become desperate to do the next dance. It's that addictive."

I'd be happy for Craig to go through if he finally nails a dance.
He is my least favourite, but I feel a bit sorry for him and would him finally get it right.

But only as long as everyone else is miles better...

Thing about Craig is that he's not actually from Blackpool itself I don't think. He sais "I grew up within a stone's throw of Blackpool," indicating that he didn't grow up in Blackpool itself.

Lots of the celebs grew up in London but that isn't a reason to vote for them while Strictly's based in London!

Having said that, I'll probably still vote for Craig anyway because I love Flavia!

I see Bhoy 1888 has been 'inactivated' so shall we let the 'Craig' word slip for an evening

Maybe the bookies should give odds this week on how many times all the couples will say:

With information I gleaned from ITT, the truly amazing thing about Craig is that he has seen his performances on TV and still thinks that he danced well and deserved higher marks. How can he be an actor?

It's the one place in the UK where all the professional dancers have all competed. During their competitive lives, the top flight dancers go to a number of competitions around the world and the Blackpool competition is one of the biggest competitions there is. Professionals come from all over the world to compete at it and nobody, but nobody in the world of ballroom dance ever gets to be recognised among their peers unless they've won there.
Next year is the 85th year of the main event.

If this programme was called "Strictly come footballing" Blackpool would be Wembley.

Naughty headline writer, twisting the meaning, trying to make it sound like the JS affair.

I can see people voting for him this weekend, just to get him there, regardless of how he does. It wont be so bad if he ends up not being the weakest dance of the night. I just don't like the possiility of him staying in at the expense of losing someone far more capable, just so that he can get to Blackpool.

I do wonder though....... Does he just want to do that one dance in Blackpool, regardless to whether that's the week he leaves, or is he also hoping the voting will carry him through that round as well? I cant telll......

Exactly I am well prepared now as the birthday will be used as well. I cannot bear to watch him now as its so cringeworthy. As Arlene says (like her or loathe her she does know what she is talking about) He is the worst dancer to be on SCD and she cannot think who is voting for him she thinks they are voting for Flavia!!

I just feel upset that somebody better will be going probably one of the girls - Jade or Zoe as the men have big fan basis. Not looking forward to Saturday.

I can't believe he thinks he dances well either, I don't know how he can't see it when watching the footage, sorry to be negative to those who are fans but he looks like a puppet with someone pulling the strings he has no co-ordination whatsoever

Remember Dom who Littlewood who thought his performance was flawless?

Craig, though more likeable and less arrogant, is equally disillusioned.

Though thankfully Craig is having too much of an out of body experience to oogle Flavia's posterior.

He's auditioning for the victim role and claiming the JS anti-judge vote. Problem is there may be an awful lot of people from last year's experience who will vote for it and see telling someone awful that they are awful, as awful.
