You lucky thing!...thing *echo*

Thanks Wysi.

Len expressed the same opinion - easily corrected - in one of the earlier weeks and I am sure Ricky is trying. I hope time isnt against him.

unless it is to do with the fact that he broke his leg badly a few years ago

Yes, I did note that Craig talked of a "lazy left foot" rather than refer to both feet letting him down (as they would if he was naturally pigeon toed I think). Like *Laura* I would have loved to have heard any advice he may have been able to offer.

When Wysi comes back from Blackpool she may be able to confirm if it is both feet or just the one leg. I promise, if it seems likely the feet placement are connected to his injury, I won't hold it against him in future.

It's his feet that really bother me. I just realised last Saturday. He is a great dancer but his feet are so that it distracts me from what he is doing.

Well, Ramps was never dull - he was far too beautiful for that to happen. Also, he and Karen were a couple who appeared to have really hit it off.

Ramps wasn't as delighted with himself as Ricky appears to be and I think that is what puts some people off.

It was his right leg that was broken and apparently nearly amputated

On the floor I agree that Ramps wasnt often dull, but off it? (should stress, for me).

And being beautiful means someone can't be dull? I'm dumbfounded Heidi, Ive met plenty of dull, beautiful people, but I require more than good lucks to find someone engaging.

And I saw plenty of moments of Ramps being delighted with himself - as he deserved to be - but always over-shadowed by Karen's rather flamboyant reactions, I can understand how you may have missed it.

Oh. Does that mean we are back to pigeon-toed natch?

Don't forget that Tess said "don't forget this is in no particular order" half way through the moment of truth

(posting to reveal gibletjohns reply).

There

And yes no matter how many times it is emphasised it does seem to have a reverse psychological effect. Maybe that's the whole point?

He has lovely feet Perfect size for me

But badly placed feet (and hands...OMG I am Craig RH!) just ruin dances for me. I can forgive mistakes and bad routines if the feet and hands are beautiful

I need a size

You're so right though. It's what Natalie (Cassidy) needs to work on as well. I adore her but she doesn't finish her lines neatly.

It's a subtle adjustment but can really lift the quality of a routine I feel.

I say nothing more size-wise

I agree that Natalie is the same. I do like her but her hands are sometimes .

Zoe has beautiful arms, so lovely that they almost make me forget James being there....but not quite

Don't let me down now and allow him win you over!

Ali gets my vote in this department, but then I think I read/heard she's done a fair bit of ballet so it's not altogether unexpected.

Remember how much Christine Bleakley improved after just one ballet lesson?

That's what a few of them could benefit from.

Chris is another. His hands are still making bizarre shapes and ever since Craig pointed them out, they distract me from the rest of his performance.

I'm not keen on him because he thinks he is better than he actually is!

Ricky shouldn't be penalised for having a disability.

I certainly never gel with contestants who are stage school trained already and turn up with a history of choreography training (I've no idea if he is, I just assume so).”

Ricky W hasn't had any previous dance training.

lala, youre a fan so may have gone to the trouble of resourcing information regarding Ricky. I frankly had never seen his face before Strictly and the pre-show profile mentioned his budding career in football had been cut short by a leg injury - not unusual among sportsmen and women.

It is only since making my confession via this thread that I learned Ricky had since suffered an even worse injury than the one that ended his football career. Ive already said in an earlier post that if this injury is responsible for his turned in feet then I will not hold that against him.

But please, do Ricky a favour and refrain from calling him disabled as he is clearly anything but.

Quoting you only to make the point that whilst Ramps was quiet off the floor, he wasn't dull. He remained engaging (in a subdued and endearing style).

RW - I've tried. I've tried to think of him minus Natalie. But when I read his blog, full of cliche, injured pride, obvious arrogance and a total lack of knowledge of what dance steps really are, then I wish that SCD offered us the choice of an anti vote. Yes, he can dance, and he is a brilliant dancer. But he is Gabby Logan in male form.

Agree Jess. I took little notice of the article adding "angry" emotions to Ricky's rather innocuous comments, but after reading his latest blog entry I'm done.
