BBC1 10.00 BBC Ten O'Clock News: 6.2m (28%) Miranda reaching over 4m per week is excellent. Another series must be on the cards. Last edited by rzt : 23-11-2009 at 16:49. Reason: D.M.N. edited his post |

BBC have made a mistake with both Strictly and SPOTY, and as thus ITV1 have a head start of 15 minutes on both nights.
Cheryl Cole's thing starts 15 minutes before Strictly, while Family Fortunes on the Sunday starts 15 minutes before SPOTY. |

ITV ad revenue lifts by 11%
So it's to be up 12% on ITV1, 11% across the channels. Previously, it was said ITV1 would break even between September and December IIRC, so I guess now there's to be an increase year on year. I'll be surprised if ITV don't have a better year overall in 2009 to 2008, considering that they've had a half decent year this year compared to last. |

BBC News did really well. If ITV had kept its news coverage at 10pm yesterday, I think ITV News at Ten would have got around ~3.5m.

I know a certain somebody's not going to be too pleased with ITV's 'aggressive' scheduling.

Surely Cheryl Cole and SCD appeal to different audiences?

The Susan Boyle thing seems to have changed from what was originally mentioned in the tabloids. It now sounds to be more like a documentary than 'An audience with'
I did have my doubts considering Susan is not very good at live interviews. Usual master of publicity Jordan has dropped a clanger going today as all the publicity will be about Jedward. Waiting until tommorow would have been better. |

Heartbeat's set has been destroyed so ITV will not resume filming in 2010 as they suggested.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv-entertain...5875-21843572/ Clever moves ITV. They killed the show by tossing it about the schedules. |

What set are they talking about, aren't the sets of all programmes taken down and then put up again?
They still have Heartbeat stock piled now don't they, so probably wouldn't need new episodes until 2011 if they were going to make new episodes |

Seems my suspicions were confirmed as I knew Ratatouille was too early for a terrestrial premiere and before Cars and The Incredibles, wonder if Enchanted and National Treasure: Book of Secrets will be shown or is it too early?

Wouldnt they have announced all the films to premiere today? Does anyone know how many film premieres the BBC usually show over the Christmas period?

Based on the information in the BBC Press Office, I've put together what the schedule will probably end up looking like: http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/9350/bbch.jpg
- black indicates areas outside of peaktime, or spaces where there is nothing to fit in - green = repeat - red = film ![]() Knowing my look, it'll end up something totally different!! Some shows will not end up on the day they are normally shown, for instance I've had to move Total Wipeout to Sundays @ 7pm as Saturday's are chop a block. |

The annoying thing is that I think Heartbeat would be perfect Tuesday night filler. Certainly better that the tripe that they usually air in that slot and it should bring in a good 4m. It'd never beat Holby, but not much would. If they started it at 7.30pm, straight after Emmerdale, then just use something like Countrywise/Grimefighters as filler until 9.00 - think that'd do better than what they're trying out at the moment.

Good schedule D.M.N., I'm thinking with Cranford, Monday and Tuesday after Christmas and Turn of the Screw on the Sunday before Christmas, I think Mid Life Christmas will get Christmas Eve but it wouldn't surprise me if they opt for Christmas Day.

I seem to remember not too long ago that BBC1 moved Neighbours to 7pm during Wimbledon and/or Summer Olympics/Commonwealth Games (?) which meant a nightly cartoon at 7.25 for 2 weeks! Late 90s? Early 2000s?

EastEnders over Christmas, as noted above has 11 episodes. I think, it means that they will be having an episode on Boxing Day, despite the fact it is a Saturday. I suspect:
Episode 1 - 21/12 - Monday Episode 2 - 22/12 - Tuesday Episode 3 - 24/12 - Thursday (Christmas Eve) Episode 4 - 25/12 - Friday (Christmas Day #1) Episode 5 - 25/12 - Friday (Christmas Day #2) Episode 6 - 26/12 - Saturday (Boxing Day) Episode 7 - 28/12 - Monday Episode 8 - 29/12 - Tuesday Episode 9 - 31/12 - Thursday (New Year's Eve) Episode 10 - 01/01 - Friday (New Year's Day #1) Episode 11 - 01/01 - Friday (New Year's Day #1) The descriptions for each episode match up with the plans we've heard for when certain things are meant to happen. If the above does happen, I'm interested to see where in the Saturday schedule EastEnders will fit in given that there is an episode of Casualty and The Impressions Show also on that day, along with a Strictly Special and Total Wipeout Christmas Special. I can see BBC doing: 17:10 - BBC News 17:30 - Total Wipeout Xmas Special 18:30 - Strictly Come Dancing Xmas Special 20:00 - EastEnders 20:30 - Casualty 21:20 - Lottery 21:30 - The Impressions Show With Culshaw And Stephenson 22:00 - BBC News 22:25 - Match of the Day Will ITV be airing soaps on Boxing Day, despite the fact that it is a Saturday? (note - I know some people are saying Boxing Day is the Monday 28th, but IMO, it's still the Saturday!) When was the last time EastEnders was on a Saturday? Makes for an interesting guessing game anyway now we actually know what will be on over Christmas! ![]() The only problem with the above is that Outnumbered looks set for Boxing Day. Maybe Impressions Show maybe on Xmas Day @ 22:30? and i don't thinl they will have a Double Bill on new years eve this year with it being a Friday(unless its a 9/930 start) so i think it's safe to say EastEnders will air Weds 23rd and Weds 30th |
