UKTVGuide's got that wrong (and probably some of the other things wrong as well). Champions League is on that night, so there can't be a 7-8pm Emmerdale episode!

In that context it's fine since you are a Sky+ user talking directly to another Sky+ user. (Although what's wrong with good old fashioned "record?" Are you a marketing puppet?) My issue is with people who treat Sky+ as the be-all and end-all by referring to PVRs generally as Sky+ or insist on using the term Sky+ when "record" would be more suitable.

For example, and I've seen numerous cases of this or something similar; someone starting a thread on DS asking what people have in their "Sky+ planner" when "PVR planner" or "record list" would be much more suitable, unless they seriously want to limit the number of respondents to their thread by excluding the hundreds of other models out there that doubtless millions of people are using on a daily basis.

Good point - I forgot about that. I suspect in which case, Emmerdale maybe 7-8pm on either Tuesday or Thursday.

Worth noting that UK TV Guide/ITV and BBC Press Office will update again on Friday for 28th November to 4th December - which should confirm the IAC final date.

Quiet night ratings wise last night.

Very poor start for F Word...and I think CH4 were relying on that to boost their fortunes. Nothing seems to be rating well at all lately with hardly any programmes above the 2m mark and we're in November now! It's also the second day in a row FIVE have beat Ch4 in the 9pm slot and not far off the 8pm slot aswell!

2.4m for NaT seems about 0.5m on what it would usually get from a 3m lead in, though I would need figures from last Tuesday to see a fairer comparison.

Small Island will probably take this slot. I could also see SPOTY running 8-10 rather than the usual 7-9, so they don't need to find something to fill the slot on the 13th. 20th will probably be the first Cranford Christmas Special

Paradox probably

Gavin & Stacey + QI match-up

Can't really see them launching anything here. Maybe a 'Best of Armstrong and Miller' plus a couple of epidoes of VoB or Little Britain.

Wednesday @ 7:30 for Big Top? A Small Island is 2x90 mins, so it'll need to go on Sundays.

Channel 4 is having mixed success with a lot of their big brands failing to hit the mark, The F Word does seem to go in the ratings as the series goes on but it faces Collision and IAC on ITV1 and Paradox is likely to be on Tuesdays too although I think that may dent CSI: Miami more than The F Word.

Five are having mixed success too with the new homegrown shows failing to hit 1m. Wednesdays and Thursdays are their problem days although Thursday can't be helped as it's football every other week.

Horizon beat Gordon Ramsey's F Word

Really surprised about Ramsey's F Word. I remember a couple of years ago it was getting nearly 5 million in the middle of summer. Now it can only scrape 2 million with +1 must be very worrying for channel 4.

I see STV isn't showing Collision, instead opting for 6 nights of the Greatest Ever Scot...

Wonderful.

Looks the SSI have struck again, surely more people will want to watch Collison then who is the Greatest Ever Scot. At least it's better than repeats of Gregory's Girl or Whisky Galore

They REALLY need The Family to do well tonight, yet I've only seen one advert for it, I've not seen much TV this week, so there has probably been alot more promotion for it that I've missed.
I think the last series rated pretty well?

Sean Connery seems a shoe in there.

IIRC The Family got 2.7m but that aired in September, it's up against Spooks, Football and Andrew Marr's Making of Modern Britain so I'm expecting 1.5-2m.

Are DS only counting the minutes Emmerdale was on as well? I thought it was just corrie

I think they do both as both shows seem to finish at 26/56 minutes past

Ive seen quite a few adverts for The Family but not one for the F Word.

- The Saturday 21st November schedule currently looks like:
18:05 - Merlin
18:50 - Strictly Come Dancing
20:35 - Lottery
20:45 - Casualty
21:35 - The Impressions Show
22:05 - BBC News

EDIT: According to UK TV Guide, ITV's schedule us:

19:00 - You've Been Framed!
19:30 - Harry Hill's TV Burp
20:00 - The X Factor
21:20 - I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
22:20 - ITV News

- Garrow's Law finishes on Sunday 22nd November, meaning that there will be 4 more Sunday 9pm slots until Xmas

- Tuesday 24th November is currently blank in the 9pm slot - with 5 spare slots until Xmas

- Thursday 26th November is also currently blank in the 9pm slot - with 5 spare slots until Xmas (4 slots if you remove Xmas Eve)

- Friday 27th November marks the end of the series for The Armstrong And Miller Show - meaning that a new programme will be launching on Friday 4th December. By my calculations, that may also be the date of the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Final. I can't see BBC launching anything in that slot - so if they don't, we move onto 11th December with only 2 Friday slots until Xmas.

On that note, the following programmes are in BBC's Press Office coming soon section for BBC1:

- Big Top (comedy set around travelling circus)
- Gavin and Stacey (comedy)
- Paradox (5 x 60")
- Small Island (2 x ??")
- Sports Personality of the Year (13th December)

Paradox, along with Gavin and Stacey/QI will go in either the Tuesday or Thursday slot.

No idea about Big Top - Small Island could go in the Friday slot seeing as it is only 2 parts long.

EDIT 2: Looking at UK TV Guide, Emmerdale is on for one-hour on Wednesday 25th November. This is because its Episode 2 is not on Thursday 26th November. The provisional schedule for Thursday 26th November is:

19:00 - Emmerdale
19:30 - River Monsters
20:00 - Coronation Street
20:30 - I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

EDIT 3: News at Ten is not on Friday 27th November, I'm a Celebrity runs from 21:00 to 22:30 on that day.

That, IMO, ruins BBC starting anything new on that Thursday as I presume the I'm a Celebrity evictions start then.

Is the 26th Nov Not the hour-long EastEnders episode? if so then it's going to clash with corrie

What do we think "Michael Jackson: this is it...or is it?" will get on 201 The Unexplained Channel?

I helped that happen. I have a vague interest in Astronomy but 99% of the programme left me just wishing they would chalk up 2 + 2 on the well used Blackboard. Those guys live in a different world to me, simply contemplating what they were suggesting gave me brain ache.
Although as a final thought-interesting in the way the programme employed an arty approach presumably to disguise the fact that, ultimately there was no final answer. If indeed there ever can be!

I expect the BBC will screen 2 half hour Eastenders at 7.30 and 8.30. That second episode would then give a leg-up to Gavin & Stacey at 9pm. Simples (as somebody on the telly says.)

Please could anyone help me in locating the viewing figures for the following programme?

Live Four Nations Rugby League - Saturday 31st October - 2.15pm - BBC ONE

Maybe it's too early?

Episode 6 might displace Piers Morgan on the Saturday night (unless STV are opted out of I'm A Celebrity in which case they could put it on on the Sunday).

ITV1 has

9.30 Piers Morgan (meets Vinnie Jones.)
10.30 News
10.45 - 12.00 International Football Highlights.

and STV don't show the England games so they might go

9.30 Greatest Ever Scot
10.30 News
10.45 Piers Morgan
