Excellent ratings for DW, TXF and IACGMOOH. TXF's 5 minute peak must have been similar to last week's 16.6m.

Countryfile still did very well an hour earlier and Garrow's Law was boosted, probably due to there being no more Doc Martin.

Family Fortunes held up well against Doctor Who, not too much down from previous weeks.

Another brilliant rating for The X Factor, albeit slightly down on last Sunday. Good start for I'm a Celebrity - quite clearly denting Top Gear.

Doctor Who did well, while Family Fortunes sustained a good audience.

Interesting stuff. ASFF & Garrows Law doing ok then. Top Gear taking a big hit.

DW, X factor & Celebrity all doing great. It looks like thats where the family audience stayed all night.

I'm a Celebrity above 9 million throughout the whole show it seems.

So it was Top Gear that suffered. Quite a big hit that compared to what it has been getting recently. My feeling is the Wednesday repeat could rate very well though. And it should still be more than enough to top the Alternative Chart when the officials come out.

Over on BBC One meanwhile Garrow's Law held up surprisingly well. And over on Five, that was a terrific performance by Spider-Man 2. The premiere of the third next week stands to do a whole lot better- perhaps pushing 3m?

Very good as expected for IACGMOOH and Dr. Who. Excellent for TXF.

That must be the first time in a long time that as many as 600k defected TO ITV1 at 10pm!

Normally they are busy jumping ship!

Xtra factor takes a big hit almost definitely from IAC. TG seems abit low but was dragged down by its first 15 minutes presumably some wanted to see the non-entities first and at TG has a Wednesday 8pm repeat which I wouldn't be surprised to see above 3m.

Garrows Law held up really well and obviously DM must have taken away viewers last week. Slightly underwhelming for DW 9.1m is still good and will probably break 10m in the officials but all those who say it will break 15m over Xmas, I really can't see it happening. Spiderman 2 did really well to get 2m at 16:20, FIVE would kill for that sort of figure in peaktime Wednesday. Also great to see ITV News 0.7m above BBC News the figure it should be getting but when they go head to head ITV always loses (except if it contains a subo story )

Does any one know Miranda's repeat figure? Don't watch it but would be interesting to know what it got after a TG lead in. It seems BBC2 must have high hopes for it as they give it the 2 best lead in slots of the week after UC and TG

On the same day that data shows ITV averaged about 12m viewers between 8pm and 10:30pm last night. Yep, it's really "finished" isn't it Chris?

According to Broadcast:

- Saturday's The X Factor peak of 14.1m (53.3%) was @ 20:55 when Jedward were performing. Strictly Come Dancing peaked with 10.9m (41.4%) @ 19:50. 8m (28.8%) were watching @ 20:10, with 9.1m (33.6%) watching @ 20:15.
- Sunday's The X Factor peaked with 16.4m (53%) @ 20:50.

BBC Parliament reached over 2m viewers last month - its highest ever:

Amazing Ratings for DW,TXF and I'm a Celeb.

Highest Launch for I'm A Celeb for 4 years I think.

It will be interesting to see if it can retain most of these viewers through its run. Celeb has been close to the end of its life according to most insiders but it might surprise a few people this year.

Lots of interesting content on Broadcast today but I promise this is the last tease and link from me. Collision has been sold to 8 different international broadcasters including WGBH; a local PBS affiliate in the US, and ABC in Australia:

Good numbers all around last night, really. Doctor Who did about as expected on an unusual day, and ASFF was a good foil, pulling in the anti-DW audience I seem to remember Mr and Mrs benefitting from during the last series in 2008. Countryfile is incredibly resilient this autumn and those numbers are fantastic for 6pm. Harry Hill has definately seen a decline over the last few weeks, but to be pulling 9m+ over the course of the weekend is obviously brilliant.

The XF levels off for a week at last but theres still little more left to say about those ratings. And while IAC naturally did very well, I did think it was going to break the 10m barrier given the amazing lead-in it was granted. Still a great start for them though and I'll be interested to see where it goes from here.

I had a suspicion Garrow's Law might benefit from the end of Doc Martin, and in a slot that competetive, 4.5m for an unestablished drama is highly commendable. I hope the BBC recognise this and bring it back next year because in a nicer slot, it could be capable of much more.

Top Gear got squeezed a bit, though still did fantastically for BBC Two. Its got enough repeat showings and is popular enough on iPlayer (currently beating out Waters of Mars to the top spot!) that it'll make most of it back. I think we can also rest assured there will be some pretty big timeshifts for several shows last night.

How disappointing for Dr Who, only the 3rd most popular programme of the day and Top Gear the 7th

Doctor Who deserved a higher rating, in my opinion. I should think it will timeshift very well.

The X Factor and I'm a Celebrity did well. IAC is not my cup of tea personally but I can see its appeal, though can't figure out how it's survived this long. It's on course for one of its strongest seasons, what with that bint Katie Price headed for the jungle.

Anyway, I should imagine SuBo will bring in the goods next week for The X Factor, I can't see John & Edward surviving another 2 weeks so they need to have built enough momentum around the other contestants to keep the ratings up into the semi finals.

Yeah. You see, Clarkson? If you'd let the BBC move Top Gear to BBC1 like they wanted, you wouldn't have taken less viewers last night than big-girlie, cabbage-eating CountryFile.

A Great Night for TV in general with X Factor, Doctor Who, IAC, Top Gear and Family Fortunes doing very well, Doctor Who's ratings bodes well for Christmas.

Spider-Man 2 did very well for Five getting 2m especially in that timeslot and makes up for the lackluster performance of The Towering Inferno which I think Five scheduled so not to compete with Doctor Who and The X Factor. They'll have a bumper Sunday next week with Pocahontas and Spider-Man 3.

Maybe it should have stayed at 8pm. It hasnt dented IAC and Garrows Law has increased.

A curious comparison tonight. On BBC1 Life is concentrating on insects in their natural environment, whilst IAC is also concentrating on insects but not in quite the same way.

When I used to view Countryfile in the morning it was full of people bathing in seaweed, windsurfing, gentle meanders in quaint villages and odd characters with video diaries.It does seem to have a harder edge these days-last night it had the child friendly story of a bird meeting its end via a shotgun and then being scoffed. I suppose its life in the raw but there does seem to have been a policy shift.

Decent all round. X Factor was definitely the weakest results show so far. The guest performance wasn't great and they've done the charity thing before plus the result was fairly underwhelming compared to last week! I think it might be a quiet week this week with lower ratings on Saturday but possibly higher on Sunday as they have some decent guests with some buzz around them.

Dr Who and I'm A Celeb both a bit lower than I expected. Still good, but it is not good news for me in the ratings prediction game! Family Fortunes held up better than I would have thought. It's doing really well in that slot.
