A completely trivial post I know....

Why do they dress Tess so old? Aside from the week where she had the black dress on (when she looked beautiful) her dresses always look old fashioned (imo), you can look glam without looking about 60....especially in a young girl.
The pink/black stripe dress she had on last night was awful, looked like it was made from a pink velour tracksuit plus it looked as though it was falling down half the time.

Craig seemed to be having a good look after she finished interviewing them

I did look to see if there was another post about this before posting, apologies if it should have gone somewhere else.

She needs some serious support around her chest area last night it was not a good look.

Yesterdays dress was just hideous

Tess is a beautiful woman and she mostly looks ghastly.

This looked like the dress she wore for Brucie's 80th birthday bash but I may be wrong. If it is well they seem to be passing all the costumes about and re-using dresses etc - saving on the budget!!

Exactly what I thought! I liked it, though - let's face it, the whole of Strictly is joyously tacky, the set, the costumes, so Tess fits right in. The only outfit I haven't liked her in was the black one - far too severe for a Saturday night fun-fest. But then I grew up on Anthea Redfern and give us a twirl ...

I burst out laughing when I saw that dress, it's very retro. I know cos I had one exactly like it in the mid 80's!
Only it was a sun dress that I used to wear in the garden made of towelling material. It was exactly the same colours & style only a tad shorter. I've actually got a photo of me in it with a gorgeous tan on holiday in Portugal with what was the original blonde, Lady Di haircut.
I was beautiful then too, like Tess (only shorter).

A horror frock. The black go faster stripes looked like she had sewn them on herself and even Father Christmas would have been ashamed to wear that red glitzy belt.

I spent the whole evening waiting for someone to stand on the hem of it... Sorry, but ladies with babies need extra support.

I didn't have a problem with the dress tbh, but I didn't think the belt matched and wanted to hitch up the bit around the chest area to make it sit properly.

Ironically I saw some photos yesterday of Tess for a La Senza campaign and she looks simply stunning. I know she has someone who makes dresses for her, but I don't know if she's too stubborn to take advice. Surely someone must be advising her about what looks good and what doesn't? You'd think Vernon would say something. I like her best in the fitted dresses she wears.

Heh, I spent every second Tess was on screen trying to decide if the boobs needed to come two inches to the right or if the dress needed pulling two inches to the left

It was like a sack with a belt attached. I'm not a big Tess fan, but she is an attractive woman. The wardrobe department must hate her!

Liked the hairstyle and make-up, though. Think positive, she needs it.

She's too thin. She has done a lingerie promotion and I suppose she has had to go on starvation rations for that.
But she doesn't look good at such a low weight. There was nothing for the dress to mould around. And the colour of the belt was a complete mismatch.

Tess isn't dressed by the BBC's Wardrobe Department. She chooses her own dresses from various "designers" who presumably supply them free of charge. She needs a stylist as her own choices are not exactly flattering to her a lot of the time.

She's tall and she wears column dresses. They don't suit her.

She could be a piece of the set - a pillar perhaps. Oh.....what did I just say?

Are you serious? She CHOSE that? Normally I just see Tess (and her dresses) as a sort of necessary bland filler-link thingy but I was yelling "beach towel from the Pound Shop! With a bit of old tinsel round the midldle!" at the screen. And don't get me started on what looked like serious slippage with her black bra peeping out the top.

Sigh. Need cake. Sigh.

The person that gave Tess that dress to wear should be shot! Tess should have refused to wear it. It looked like a cheap baggy stretch material and the black stripes at the sides which cheapened it even more, plus no boob support, topped with a bronze sequin belt that didn't match the hideous dress. I think Tess wears lovely dresses 30% of the time. I wish I could dress her, she would always look fabulous and there would be no more belts.
