Blackberry emails while in Ireland
Question for Sister who travels to Southern Ireland on business regularly. She is thinking of getting a Blackberry to keep up with emails. Would they be included in her monthly package or do they come under roaming charges?
If so who would be the best provider to go with?? Thanks in advance Chaps and Chapesses...

Southern Ireland is classed as 'abroad' so roaming charges would apply.
If she's only just over the border, it could be that she connects at 'home' (Northern Ireland is part of the UK) and would thus avoid the roaming. Bit hit and miss though as it would involve stopping the phone from 'roaming' to prevent the charges should the stronger signal happen to be in Southern Ireland - if that makes sense?! |

If she gets a wi-fi enabled Blackberry she could pick up her emails from any hotspot for no roaming charges.

I think 02 may include an "international" option now if you get the blackberry bolt on... worth checking out!
