I think its a good idea actually. At least they already know that the judges like them performing that song.

Well he can't do it again.

Miss Frank sang their bootcamp song in the actual show itself. So what? It makes sense to lick one of your best, that you know back to front and inside out.

I think the real crime here is that Danyl didn't really sing all that much and just relied on the "power notes"

Why is it a problem OP?

When he wasn't singing then was he reading poetry?
I missed the bit when he wasn't singing.

alex did the same song listen 3 times last year on the show. once at the judges homes, then once on the show then once with beyonce.

I just felt there was too much backing vocal and not enough lead vocal

Is it possible he hadn't really thought about exit songs yet because he expected to make it through to the end, so that was the only song he had prepared?

What is this? Slag off Danyl Johnson for doing exactly the same as Miss FRANK?

Pathetic.

Actually I think it is too I wonder if others might do the same perhaps.

Apparently any excuse is a good excuse to have a 'go' at Danyl.

Fair play to 'Chosen One Golden Balls' for being able to do that song so effortlessly and with the full backing and arrangement of the band, who obviously only got notice of this moments after the results were read out.

Blimey...if I didn't know better I'd have thought that the result was known some time before being read out, so that performance could be rehearsed.

Now, I know that each contestant has to have a back up song in case things like this happen, but do you think this could have been done quite so well with minimal notice?

Two negative reasons why you shouldn't perform your audition song as your survival song:
1. Every aspect of your performance will be compared to the original audition. Could Danyl top what was apparently the best audition Simon's ever seen?

2. If your in the bottom two a second time oh dear! You better get your thinking cap on now.

Yes i noted this too, especially as most of it was backing vocals and he pranced about smugly knowing he was going nowhere

It was the song that got him into the competition, why not try and make it the song that saves him?

I don't see the problem with that at all?!

Like others have said, Alexandra sang "Listen" 3 times last year. Miss Frank performed "That's Life" at boot camp and on the live shows.

Think it was actually quite a wise move by Danyl.
