If they hadn't interfere, Rachel and her unbelievably frightening lack of X Factor will have been shown the door but they had to interfere and get a decent act to leave the competition and NOW...
they're holding emergency meetings and panicking. What is wrong with these people? Can't they grasp that the public think Rachel is rubbish so why are they forcing her down our throats? She's behaving like the ghost of Crazy Frog now and making us hide our children from her presence. Well done Simon. You boosted the credibility of somebody with Zzzzz Factor and now we lose a decent act. The same happened with AlexBLANDra last year and you're doing it again. One word. Pathetic. |

Absolute rubbish. The act that should have gone was Miss Frank because they got the least votes.

Rachel should go if all things are fair but the unequal publicity they force on us makes this personality-less dullard stay for longer. |

I'd say this would be more appropriate when applied to you. Your amount of hate towards her is actually rather frightning.

You shaould have voted harder
Rachel got more votes than Miss Frank and Danyl at the end of the day so she desreves to be in that final nine.

But it was the public vote that saved her, so everything you just said is utter rubbish. The public saved her and the judges had no say in whether she stayed or went. I'm not a Rachel fan and I was actually expecting her to end up in the bottom two again and go tonight - but the fact is she wasn't and there's zero logic in anything you just said. Fact is, get over it. It's just a TV show and your opinion doesn't necessarily match the opinion of all the other viewers/voters out there. |

Rachel has not deserved to be in the bottom 2. Weeks 1 and 2 she was given unsuitable songs to sing (but still turned in better performances than most) and also received far less publicity than the other contestants. She was also styled in a very bad way that put a lot of people off her. She has received extra publicity, better styling and a better song this week, although she was still done over with having to perform early again.
I wouldn't say they have been forcing her down our throats, they have simply redressed the balance by allowing her a share of the limelight, something she had been denied prior to the announcement that she was in the bottom 2 again last week. |

I really don't get this 'hate' on this board.
Danyl for playing with his microphone and now Rachel for being excited. I don't even hate but if I would, it would be over someone hurting those close to me, not because I don't like a personality. |

You are misreading the point of the show and it's publicity campaign.
Rachel should go if all things are fair but the unequal publicity they force on us makes this personality-less dullard stay for longer. The twins and Danyl have had more publicity than the rest of them put together. |

I see this 'interference' as part and parcel of the show. Each contestant is trying to improve themselves as the weeks go by, and Rachel has been given the advice and help to improve herself. Sometimes it might be a better song choice, sometimes image, but either way it's all part of her and any of the others' chance to succeed in this competition and only right that she tries as hard as she can as the others do.

Rachel was absolutely fantastic last night. One of the performances of the night.
And both Whitney and Michael Buble praised her highly so she must be doing something right. She just needs to tone down the 'OMG OMG OMG' that she had going on this weekend and she'll be alright. |

Look at the contestants who were in the competition in the beginning with all the publicity and left during bootcamp or judges' houses. What good is publicity then? About as good as a one legged man in an ass kicking competition. Publicity now and the publicity Rachel got has been bigger and far more effective because people are not voting!! Your view that her performances weren't good in the first few weeks - well why let her off for that? Why can't she make a bad song good? Her incapability can't be overshadowed by weak justifications and excuses where you use her weakness as a strength. That's like saying my inability to have womenly hips stop me from being a pregnant - but I am a dude and in this case, you're saying Rachel's inability to get good songs is stopping her from being a singer? Irony? Odd? Of course...! |

Rachel was brilliant last night, that's why she wasn't in the bottom two & that's why she didn't go tonight... Hardly rocket science dear...

[QUOTE=Kablamo
You appear to be missing a very simple point..you say the public have spoken...indeed they did and that is why Miss Frank went home.......Just because you're a Lucy fan is it really necessary to character assisinate another contestant... |

She was good this week. Last couple of weeks she has been rubbish. So, therefore, bottom 2 for two weeks, put in a good performance, stay out of bottom 2. Its how it should work, just not usually how it does.

I think it's obvious who the studio audience thought should have been there and they were absolutely right - even if I don't approve of their reaction. |

I am not a big Rachel fan, but I cannot understand why she is so highly criticised. At least she can sing. All the mentors have given her good feedback. They can't all be wrong. Give her a break
