I find his performances are full of emotion..but not for the right reasons

I think Lloyd's a far better singer than Eggnog anyway...and I say that having liked a lot of Eggnog's performances...

He's just not very good. His choices (apart from bleeding love) are easy to sing and have been performed very well in the past. His voice is not unpleasant, but in no way strong enough to be a solo artist. He'd be okay in a band. His performance abilities are pretty underwhelming.

He does have the look. I suppose he is marketable from that point of view but a recording contract would be utterly wasted on him.

Why is the teen girls' vote less important than anyone else's?

Plenty of boybands/artistes have made it big due to young girls buying their music.

I disagree that he is similar to Eoghan - he has a much more unique tone to his voice, and is a very good looking young lad.

I don't think he will win, but he does deserve to be there still.

In general, teen girls will vote multiple times for the same person. Kids like Lloyd who are getting a high proportion of teen girls votes end up with votes that don't reflect their true fanbase.

Just look at Eoghan's album sales and why many people were saying where are all his fans now? Because he didn't have as many in the first place. It was mostly teen girls hitting redial. Same with Lloyd.

I really hope lloyds picks up and gets better. He has been dreadful to watch over the last few weeks. Cheryl really needs to get it right for next week, otherwise hes a gonner.

I don't even think the song choices are to blame the fact is he can't sing very well. Most of the people who I know, who like him, don't care about his voice!!

I don't know why most of his fans just don't be honest and admit they couldn't care less what his voice is like and say that they fancy the pants off him!!

When last I looked Lloyd had the most Facebook Fans 71 000 +. Second was Stacey with 59 000 +. All others had in the region of 20 000 with J & E only 2 000 or so.

Doesn't make him a good singer. I'm willing to bet 95% of that 71,000 fancy the pants off him. He could sing the phone book, murder it and still do well on the X-Factor.

I've got nothing against Lloyd personally, he seems like a nice boy, and he is cute, if i was 15 i'd probably fancy him.

BUT he just doesn't have the voice. The 3 guys Cheryl turned down have more talent than him, although i can see whay she put him through, he is marketable.

He's dreadful - to me the twins have more talent - at least they ooze confidence and a bit of oomph and don't pretend they can sing.

I like Lloyd, but I don't that Cheryl actually 'gets' him. His 'Cry me a river' was good, a little stiff, but I just put it down to nerves. After that Cheryl seems to have got it wrong consistently. He's a good singer just been given the wrong songs. I think Cheryl needs to really sit back and think what she's going to do about Lloyd in the next few weeks if she wants him to stay in the competition.
However, personally I don't think she's too bothered, she's made it clear that her favourite this year is definatley Joe IMO she see's Llyod as only there to make up her numbers this year.

He can sing (admittedly not a fantastic singer but he can hold a tune)

From that clip you can tell he has the voice to be pop star (dont need a very good voice to be one)

This is not just a singing contest - it's about who has that elusive 'X factor'............ which I take to be overall general appeal to the public.

Which is why Lloyd will probably stay in for a long time and Danyl may well go out next week.

This is a talent competition. LLoyd is not a great singer though he has a nice voice but no better than lots of young lads in Wales that I've heard. I realize all the teens think he is 'hot' but I would never buy an album because the guy on the cover looked 'hot'. Ok John and Edward are not better singers but they are far better entertainers overall. LLoyd - I honestly think - could not hold an audience for a live stadium concert. I don't think he is ready for that kind of thing and I agree with what one of the judges said the other week, he would be perfect in a boyband.

No offence, but my impression is that his main fanbase are teenage girls who think he is hot and all have mad crushes on him. Crushes are only temporary though and I can't see it lasting till the next hot guy comes along.

I think we're seeing this truth emerge, this year - having the 'x factor' may or may not involve being a great singer - it's more about charisma/being watchable. Lloyd not only has a weak, reedy, amateur sounding voice but all the charisma of a bucket of cold porridge.

In other words - he can neither sing nor entertain us. Why he wasn't in the bottom 2 last night I'll never know.

I don't think Lloyd is "rubbish" or "terrible" or any of the other very strong descriptions some are using to describe him.
He is a talented boy.
The trouble is, he isn't brilliant either, nor is he very talented. He has a pleasant but not outstanding voice.

He is getting votes because of his "cuteness" rather than because of exceptional performances. Not his fault of course, so no need to be vindictive, but on the otherhand, no need to vote for him either

Someone said earlier that his looks would sell albums - not entirely sure why anyone would buy an album because someone looked cute....go and see them live, watch them on TV, queue outside television studios for an autograph maybe.

Lloyd for his age is amazing, Eoghan acted and seemed very young, while Lloyd does adult and you can tell he puts 110% into his vocal, if that is enough to be the winner I'm not yet sure, but Lloyd has a future, he has an different vocal and I don't think as Louis stated he is only boy band material.

Sorry - lloyd is no better and no worse a singer than J&E. He is, however, boring. Unfortunately, there are far to many people in the top 10 the past couple of years who have no business being even in boot camp.
