I actually thought Leon's album was very good and I'm no fan. Kris is being given the material he wanted and the opportunity to write/co-write a lot of his album. The problem is if there isn't the interest, there isn't the interest and the record company is not going to throw good money after bad. If there was the interest, the pre-orders would be high (pre-ordered albums are sold more often than not without the buyer having heard a note), the album would be being discussed in anticipation, and so on and that would encourage the record company but there is none of that. The record company is not a registered charity.”

I liked Leon's album too, but it was too old for his voters.
I'm sure Kris will be fine, and it's not his material that bothers me as it reads in my post, but the promotion, but we'll see.

Kris deserved more credit and more hype than he got instead of a constant undermining of his credibility. The show was unfair, which is partly why Adam lost and the reason Danyl cannot win.

Plus you're wrong it was all down to Arkansas, his telephone lines were busier across the country, and roughly equal to Adam in Arkansas (which is downright fishy). So he would have won anyway and I don't think you should keep bringing it up unless you can show you have access to the voting figures.

Sorry but that is wrong. Adam had between 58% and 60% of the vote in the rest of the country outside of Arkansas, depending on whether you use the exact numbers to last 1 or the rounded-up/rounded-down numbers.

The huge Arkansas vote was by text so it wouldn't have registered on the phone lines.

[quote=popalong;36261035]Simon himself is becoming a joke. If he's so desperate for Danyl to win, why does he even bother having a talent contest where the public can vote?

I've always had huge respect for Simon, thought of him as one of the most honest, reliable personalities on television, but now I'm starting to see him for what he really is and I don't like it at all. Shows like X Factor and Britain's Got Talent used to be a lot of fun, now they're just about Simon pushing his own favourite onto the public so that he can make as much money as possible.

Didn't he learn from the Susan Boyle experience? Do not attempt to force an act down our throats because the public will retaliate with the complete opposite![/QUOTE
You had RESPECT for simon cowell!?!
OMG!!!! this man is single handedly ruining popular music.he's good for light entertainment tv ,but that's it.

He's actually just a businessman. He may be very nice, do charitable works and be polite to his mum, but he is a complete ignoramus. Especially where music that he doesnt know is concerned. So what did he say to Leon "I think you are a lovely boy, I really want to nurture your talent, help you grow and I have your best interests at heart .... but you're not making me any money, so bye!"
The best ever audition remark was just one of those throwaway comments he makes in the auditions.
