As the series in which Anton was finally tested as a teacher, and found wanting?

As the last series with Bruce?

As the last series ever?

Less serious suggestions also welcome!

For the Alesha as judge furore.

For Brendan being nice to Jo Wood

For the new bad girl of Strictly, Aliona

For that terrible salsa demonstration

For Ali and Brian's "are they, aren't they?" 'showmance'

The greatest number of times that a dancer's foot (male or female) became caught in the hem of a ballroom dress.

The series where the phrase "I don't want it to end" was spoken by the greatest number of celebrities

The Dawn of Alesha.

The Race Row.

And Craig and Blackpool look as though they'll make quite a memorable combination...

I'd already forgotten about that and now you've reminded me of it and those awful tap-dancers

PS: Am I the only one who thinks they will remember something positive from the show? That's quite sad.

What? SCD is on? I'd forgotten!

I doubt most will remember much of anything about this series, apart from it was the dullest and poorest.

In terms of the couples I think it's way better than last year already.

I feel mean to wish anyone out of a job, but I hope it'll be remembered as the last year that several of the regulars were on it, the last year they focussed on trying to compete with X Factor, and the year before they went back to 12 celebs, but despite all that I'm still enjoying it much more than last year.

By a largely unconscious process during which stable permanent and semi-permanent changes in neural connections permeate the brain of the viewer.

True, but we all have views on the show so far!

Personally this will be the series I didn't pay as much attention to as I had in other years.

I was disappointed...probably bored after the first few weeks last year.....I dipped in and out of Strictly for the next 4 or 5 weeks(never watching a full show)....and guess what...I loved the final 4 or 5wks.All the remaining contestants were great...all the duffers had long departed and I could actually sit down and enjoy, rather than endure the show.....and this years followed a similar course, so with a bit of luck the final month will be great......Loved series 3; 4 and 5 from the off and watched every show. Why the change....is it just me and Strictly is no longer the must watch show of the week.....or has the show changed and it just does`t appeal to me as much....Who knows.

..........as the one before the series that made or broke it!

If you dont think the SCD is as good as previously years you may be right-or you may have read and taken in all the negativity in the press about it.

SCD has a big mountain to climb before next year.

I do understand that and despite Brendan and the Chicken and the Anton Saga, I am simply loving this series - including most of the changes - and look forward to each couple (except Craig perhaps ) getting better and better with lots of WOW things to come.

When I think of the last series, I think of the worst series of SCD ever, only redeemed by the best show dance ever by Tom and Camilla.

That's why I'll answer the OP's question after the final.
