Convert cine film to DVD to Humax

I had some old cine film converted professionally to DVD, and I thought it would be a good idea if I could store the films on the HDR.

I ran the DVD files through "VideoReDo" and edited what I wanted. I saved the results as a .TS file to my WD Passport for playing on the Humax. When I try to play them on the HDR the files are not visible where I saved them, so I cant select them to play.

Is what I want possible? If so, what am I doing wrong?

The hdr can't play external video files, well not yet anyway but hopefully soon
