So if he is a dance teacher why haven't we seen him dance?

Why do we just see him hopping around the stage like he has drawing pins in his shoes?

What type of dance is he teaching?

Ring a ring a rosie?

One finger one thumb keeps moving?

Any ideas?

I think you mean wanted not wanting

And yes they can have him if they want

But what I am saying is that when he moves when he sings he does not dance or even move in rythm

He is primarlily a Drama teacher I believe but also teaches dance, so what, what does that prove. He has "passed" the test to teach at his level, so why knock that as well, god what more do you want to have a go at about this man...

I would be more than happy to think he was teaching my kids, as he has a nice personality, I imagine he is great with kids in making them feel less inhibited, and trying to make them see the best in themselves, but lets just face it, he is BIG headed, ARROGANT, and much BETTER than anyone else on the show, if you believe all that you are mad..

Has he said he can dance? is he in a dancing contest.. no he is in a singing contest and rightly so as at least unlike several others put thru he can actually sing and in tune thank god.. he does not break my ears each week with tinny sounds or out of tune ones...

Yes,he does appear to be a really good teacher and one thing I do not knock is education. In fact I admire anyone who educates others.

X factor is a package, a whole performance, not just singing

Another 'lets bash Danyl Johnson' thread. I bet he is a very good teacher. Or do people expect someone from his background to mug and knife others. Honestly peeps why don't you give it a rest.

if i had children, i'd want them to have a teacher like him.

but i wouldn't cope well if he was my teacher, i'd barely take in a word

Never said he was a bad teacher, just surprised he teaches dance and yet this ability has not been broadcast. Why?

i don't feel that the songs he has performed so far have really called for any dancing.

You'll be wanting Danyl to juggle and speak several languages next whilst cooking a perfect souffle.

Leona's break dancing, that was good, do you remember?

ha ha that made me laugh, you really need to have a sense of humour on here. A lot of it is pantomine villain stuff rather than real nastiness

Get real. It is a discussion thread where people can discuss likes and dislikes about the contestants, and get questions answered.

There was a recent article in the Times Educational Supplement a few months ago after his audition for X factor. Turns out he isn't employed by a school and 'there are doubts about whether or not he has qualified teacher status'
Instead, he works as a peripatetic drama and dance teacher, running occasional classes at weekend performing-arts schools near his Reading home.

Quote:
“These include Starmaker, the weekend drama school previously attended by stellar British actress Kate Winslet and by Mr Johnson himself.

Helen Woodford, who works for Starmaker, said: "He teaches at performing-arts schools around Reading but he hasn't done much with us over the last few months."

He is believed to teach more regularly at the School of the Arts in Windsor as well as running sporadic drama workshops at a primary school in Berkshire.

This loose definition of the profession has led to significant debate over what constitutes a teacher. On the website Mumsnet, one contributor said: "I reckon he was told to say he was a teacher as it changed our expectations of his performance. If he'd said 'drama coach', we'd not have been as surprised by his audition."

Another added: "I used to teach people to ride, but I wouldn't call myself a teacher."

John Bangs, the NUT's head of education, agrees it is unhelpful to confuse working with children with qualified teacher status.

"Clearly, he's proud to be a teacher," he said. "So why not become a proper teacher and use his talents to make a difference to children in schools?”

Another "very well constructed and intelligent thread"..
