funny how simon accuses lucie of being an actress.
when his own act Danyl uses all the theatrics in the book, and then gets a standing ovation from his mentor...mmm

Ah that is because Simon wants one of his acts to win as do the other judges.

Lucie has a good voice and I don't think there was anything wrong with her performance on Satruday.

If she could scream a note as high as Leona could he'd be all over her. It's nothing to do with her "seeming like an actress". (All performers are "actors", anyway.)

He raved over Leona's "Summertime", which was one of the most feeling-devoid performances there's ever been on the X Factor. It's such a touching song, written to be sung with a kind of wry, emotional irony - and she just turned it into a vocal fireworks display (she's far from the only one guilty of totally misinterpreting - or not bothering to interpret - this song).
