the boys/kids
I've been trying to think of any successful artist in the style of the three boys Cheryl chose for her catagory. Admittedly I am not exactly down with the youth, but the last one I can think of is Glenn "one hit wonder" Medeiros from 1987, and to call him a success is pushing it rather. Am i just lacking in knowledge of boy singers, or are the x-factor trying to fill a gap in the market in a market that does not exist? none of the acts Cheryl chose have the maturity to have any lasting career off the back of the show, Joe, has talent but would have been better served by being told to come back in 3 years, the other two ought to be in boy bands or musicals, which is where they will probably end up.
Should they stop putting these kids through, are they doing them any favours if what they really want is a recording career?
