...Blackpool. It's like Narnia, right? And you're granted three wishes to make all your wildest dreams come true?

If you climb almost to the top of the tower and look down through the glass panel in the floor, or better still, keep climbing up as far as you can go, I can guarantee what those three wishes will be!!!

I was in the ballroom yesterday and it was fabulous (could have stayed all day there)..... I managed to get on the dancefloor a quick swirl amongst the men in diamonds (i dont jest) and sparkly 90 year olds.

If you get a chance GO. Its wonderful.

I have to admit the shows from Blackpool always seem a bit special.

The Tower Ballroom is an amazing place, although for most in the competition it's more of a reasonable mile-stone for some of the celebrities to make (in comparision with the final). I remember the same "buzz" in Series 2 when they visited Blackpool in Week 5 for Samba week and then again for the final.

I've been to the ballroom in Blackpool - it was very lovely, I loved the whirlitzer coming out of the floor in the main stage - I wonder if it will be incorporated into the show

Perhaps not quite the Nirvana that the contestants are making it out to be though

I danced around the ballroom with my dad when I was a little girl - it's a beautiful ballroom and I don't blame the celebs for wanting to go there - it is special

I was very drunk when I went to the Tower Ballroom, so I'm not sure how much I can remember!

The atmosphere when SCD goes there, however, is amazing.

Did he let you stand on his feet? That's what my Dad used to do with me!

lol not that time - we waltzed around the ballroom. It's one of those memories you always cherish.

I did used to stand on his feet when I was very little - it was great fun. I'd crush them now! lol

My Dad was the only person I could jive well with. He really knew how to lead when dancing and I loved dancing with him. Memories.

I always think of Blackpool as the home of dancing, my first memories of the ballroom (though Winter Gardens not the tower) was of my mum and dad dancing there and I was about 5 years old. Later was watching friends compete there and my brother and then our pupils. I must admit I felt like I had made it myself when I judged the British Championships at the Tower and the Winter Gardens ( not in Ballroom and Latin I hasten to add) and Len Goodman was on the panel with me!!

Nope not famous just a hard working teacher and judge in my style of dance there are many of usout there!!!. Always found Len to be great and he is very funny his dance lectures are fab and I have the greatest respect for him. But this was not in the Ballroom and Latin field !!

I do feel the success he has had on SCD has changed him a tad some in the dance world think he believes the BBC hype about himself
