Hello, this is about Corrie, thought it was a bit stupid when Ashley went all weird when Claire mentioned Maxine, she was only being thoughtful! Hope he realises this and doesn't mess things up!

Don't wanna hear him screaming ohhhhh Maxxxxximmmmme again!

It's like when Les Battersby says "hospickle" and "lickle" - highly annoying!

If he reacts lime that when she mentions Maxine, he will really flip when she starts talking about Matt the doctor

I thought his reaction was a bit OTT. I mean, Claire was being nice, and telling him to keep her memory alive - not delete it from memory !!!

They have only been together one day - and they have had 2 rows / silences already !!

This could get very boring

Claire and Ashley remind me of the film, Great Expectations, where John Mills played an honest downtrodden cobbler. His new wife pulls him up by the bootstraps, and decides that he should be more ambitious, open more shops and build an empire. This could be the right opportunity to tell that type of success story in Corrie. I can just see Ashley in 10 years, with 500 staff and his own meat pie factory.

Things to not do on the first date are: never mention the dead wife!

I can see why he was scripted to go off like he did battling his feelings, for a moment before he was away from all that history and feeling alive again.. She played her bit well, so innocently said etc. - Hopefully tonight things will get sorted.

There's no soap remember without conflict

Don't you mean 'Hobson's Choice', Rudi ?

Sir John Mills played a cobbler called Will Mossop who married Henry Horatio Hobson''s daughter, Maggie., and eventually takes over the business.
