Satfinder power supply
My brother-in-law has just bought a Foxsat pvr, dish and LNB.
Does he have to use the power supply from the receiver to power the sat-finder meter (even though the PVR has not yet been 'set up' ) or can he rig up his own power supply via 2 x PP9s? On switch-on the instruction book says the pvr asks for a postcode and starts a Freesat search - so it is not known whether there is any voltage on both or either lnb coax feeds to line up the dish before the set-up can begin. If he can use the 2 x PP9s what is the polarity on the coax inner and outer conductors? |
