Jack Meadows - A man's man & a Copper's Copper
Jack with hair.
Jack's profile I know there are other general Bill threads, but I think a few words should be said in appreciation of DCI Jack Meadows. Since 1992 he has held together The Bill for me, and been the main constant in a ever evolving show. Once destined for the top, he is now more used to fighting to keep his job, with various people trying to oust him, or climb over him on their own way up the greasy pole. There would be no more popular Sperintendent if he was promoted to run Sunhill. And it would be interesting to see him wear the uniform. PS. Has anyone ever seen Jack in uniform, say at an official function? Rudi

I agree. He is a great character. Totally beleivable unlike that other one on the beeb in merseybeat. He has had some great storylines throughout the show and it would be nice to see him getting promoted, but in th PC world of the Met I dont think its likely to happen

In uniform, out of uniform, whatever - I've always had the hots for Jack Meadows. Don't ask me why, he's not perhaps handsome in conventional sense, but especially with hair there's just something about him.
