Well, I can't say I'm surprised Zoe was in the bottom two, but I am surprised about Ali! This means that the two of who I consider to be the top three (Ricky Whittle, Ali and Jade) have already been in the bottom two!

The costumes don't have much resemblance to the design drawings we see on ITT.

Hillary ?? the fashion critic on ITT was saying Ali's dress was beautiful. Well if she's a fashion critic I'm Ginger Rogers. ”

Hello Ginger, I thougt you were dead

Quite! The judges are totally dishonest and then have the cheek to lecture the public who pay their salaries. I didn't vote but I can quite understand why others vote for the underdogs.

Is this the third time James has gone out on a Samba? I'm not surprised they were there, it was a terrible routine and Zoe looked so uncomfortable with it and the judges overmarking made it inevitable really. Thought Ali could be in danger too as there Paso was disappointing but I can't believe it was both of them.

I did think with the slight improvement from Craig people would see sense and let him go out on a good dance. Now he gets to dance badly at Blackpool. Lucky him, shame for us.”

I have to admit last week I described Craig as the kind of boyf you have and want to get shot of, and he doesn't get the message now matter how nicely you start to dress it up, and make it blunter and blunter... until you want to clobber him over the head with a shovel.

He DID improve, granted... and IMO as good as both girls were... I think the bigging up of the injury was a bit naughty... and I think James and Zoe gave it MUCH more bounce the 2nd time around.

I think the wrong pair went.. but...AliBri ... well he HAS to strike a balance between over flashy choreo and blandness to bring out the best in her... even if she DOES look like a stunned mullet half the time!

The bottom slot is obviously the safest place to be these days.

I'll miss you Zoe and James, even if I'm in the minority of James fans. ”

Ditto! tonight's results make a mockery of SCD, two of the top three couples ended up in the dance off.

While everyone has a right to vote for who they want, IMO it would have been much better to have had the best 9 dancers at Blackpool.

Either the viewer vote needs to be scrapped altogether or people need to accept that it might result in a better (but less popular) dancer leaving sometimes.

I wonder how many people that were outraged with tonight's result actually voted for Zoe or Ali?

It would not be any better if there was no public vote!

Then it would be all down to the judges and we'd know, almost, week one who was going to win and in what order celebs would leave. That would be sooooooo boring.

At least way it hassome excitement. Hopefully it will put a rocket up Ali's backside too and she'll find a bit more fire in her belly.

Right, hands up, who the heck is voting for dullard birthday boy Craig? Ok, the public have the right to choose who they wish to see back every week, but we are now into Week 7 of the competition, and the weaker ones should be gradually leaving the competition

I really felt for the judges tonight, especially for Alesha who, bless her, said she wanted to keep both of them. Neither couple should have been in the dance off.

I voted for Zoe & James twice tonight.

I could totally see that happening! Thinking he was quite the catch and oblivious to any criticisms!

I'm not a fan of James and didn't warm to Zoe. I like Brian but also haven't warmed to Alli.

I voted for Natalie, Chris and Jade. They're not the best, but they're my favourites and the ones I would be sad to see leave the competition. Everyone has the right to vote for their favourite.

I can understand the John Sargents of this world, Chris, Phil, Natalie and RickyG getting through but I genuinely don't get what Craig beings to the table. Genunely don't, I find him charmless. I like Ali and Brian but they are blessed to be still there. To be fair to her, I don't know if her toe is broken, but I have broken my little toe and I could barely walk let alone wear heels and let alone dance in them.

I have never warmed to RickyW and he could be in the bottom 2 and I wouldn't care, but that quickstep was amazing...I hate to say.

One of the biggest problems with the loony voting is that encourages bad 'protectionist' judging...which probably results in even more loony voting.....and so on in an escalating cycle. I don't mind the odd 'shock' exit....but it won't help the show from my POV if it descends into a childish face-off between anti-judge voting and anti-voter judging.

The DO must go...but I'm starting to favour more radical reform of the scoring system.

I'll stick my head above the parapet - I'm quite pleased Zoe went. She seems like a nice woman but she was a merely competent dancer ludicrously overmarked from day one. James is a great Latin dancer himself but his choreography is tedious, repetitive, often with ill-judged music. Last week's AS was poorly timed and error strewn yet they finished with high marks. This week a lacklustre 'disco' samba choreography (which when Anton does it is beige but when James does it passes without remark) was pleasantly mediocre but gets a 9 from Alesha. They were not God's gift to dancing and not popular with the public - why all this pretence it was a shock result?

Well there we go another shocker in Strictly history !!! I feel sorry for Zoe I thought she had more personality on the floor than Ali who only has one look (bambi) her paso didnt convince me at all I thought it was quite weak.

Its obvious that the bottom 5 on the board are more popular than the top and with the ties in the scoreboard giving the bottom two 4 points this will happen over and over again. Next weeks dance off Ricky Wittle V Ali Bastian and the judges explode bring it on.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
