Ricky W and Laila

Is it me or they always near the end of the show? Especially Ricky W. I think it is time one of them went first.

Looking at the stats that were posted by BuddyBonthenet recently

I'd say Ricky is definitely due for an early appearance closely followed by Laila.

Zoe and James are due a late spot.

Yes they should be last it seems. Ricky W and Laila need to be at the begionning.

I've thought this too. Glad someone has pointed it out. Going first, or in the first few, puts you at a disadvange I think. Interestingly I don't think Anton has gone first since series 1. Definitely time he did.

Going first can be a disadvantage in the early rounds. The fewer couple left, the less of a problem it becomes.

The order isn't fair but it is decided by the producers to make a good show. They normally want someone decent but not outstanding first - allows the judges to set a bench mark score and gives the public something to catch their interest. They want to end with a really entertaining dance, a really good one or with a popular couple, all of which keep the public watching and make them go away with a good impression of the show.

Those stats are interesting. Thanks. And thanks to Buddy.

Ricky's earliest appearance is 6th - sure is time for him to go first. And Laila needs to do so soon too, I agree.

Anyone know if we get to know the running order before the night?

Occasionaly on ITT Claudia might be chatting to a couple and she might say "you're going 1st or last etc tomorrow".

Cheers. I've noticed that but don't recall ever seeing an order listed before the night. Keeps the surprise element I suppose

True. Ironically Ricky W was last tonight! He really should be first next week. Also Laila was 8th. She needs to be second next week,.

Saving the best for last?

There's always this same argument every year. It usually balances out in the end.

Ricky W and Laila have got to start dancing nearer the start. It's looking way too contrived this way. Or are they scared if they do that then it might put them in the bottom 2? As has happened with Jade and Ali when they've been first or second to dance.

This is totally irrelevant, but imagine if Ricky and Laila had a baby.
It would be beyond beautiful.

LOL that made me chuckle mia

If Ricky doesn't go at the beginning of the group next week its totally unfair and Laila needs to be early on too. It was becoming obvious last week but now its glaringly unfair.

Isnt it strange...I was thinking the same but for opposite reasons. I feel that going last allows the nerves to build and build, whereas going early gets it out of the way ...I suppose it would depend on the individual personalities. I would rather go early myself.

Me too tbh but if i was at all concerned with voting patterns i'd want to go on as late as possible. People have very short memories when it comes to this kind of show and the last thing they see seems to be the first thing they remember when it comes to voting.

Mark Ramprakash was almost always on late the year he won, so I dont' think it helps.

This was mentioned last week and it struck me on Saturday that one of the reasons could be it is dependent on which pros are dancing in the pro dance.
Those taking part would have to dance with their celeb early in the show to allow time for a costume change, freshen up and quick wee refresher of the steps (if they do that ) before the pro performance.

ALSO

I haven't taken much notice of the time spent rehearsing by all the celebs but perhaps those who due to work commitments, haven't had as much practice as others are given time to rehearse before they perform according to practice levels that week?

Just a couple of thoughts

Their baby would be about 90% eyes! Maybe if both couples go on early, it will give them something to do while they wait for everyone else to dance!
