I agree and singing is a great metaphor as one of the reasons why I've never watched the X-factor and such shows is that I saw Celeb Fame Academy once and I can't bear the sort of style of singing that they encouraged all the contestants to adopt which I suspect the X-factor does too. That sort of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion style were you hold onto every note for about three milliion years I find it utterly souless I'd rather listen to a singer whose has a distinctive style which reflects their own personality even they aren't technically as good or even in the case of John Lydon even technically any good at all.

Tom was an example of this - not technically flawless but someone who danced with personality. I agree totally with Servalan on this but then again I was a Austin (another one who wasn't always technically perfect but usually fun to watch) supporter who then transfered my allegiance to Tom. Tom had his faults - he could be a terrible ham on occasion which ruined Tomilla's paso for me but I loved his enthiasism and I found his foxtrot a lot more appealing than Rachel's which was dull despite probably technically a lot better than Tom's. Bhoy I find your dissing of Tom rich considering you support Craig he seems a lovely guy but doesn't seem to have either talent or personality when he dances - Tom had both - he may not have been the best (that was almost certainly Rachel) but he was good.

I don't think I've ever known anybody to work as hard as you for £75.

I reckon the 75 quid is a red herring. There's some other ulterior motive at work here.

Well, you know, with the level of devotion you're showing, I thought perhaps you might be Craig's Nan.

I really don't mind when good couples end up in the bottom two. I was sad to see Zoe go - I thought she was a good dancer and a lovely lady. And I liked James a lot this year, he blossomed in a relationship he enjoyed. But that is the nature of the beast, it makes it exciting. The show without the public vote would be so predictable, we would know the winner from week 1.
