the VW is never going to be a 'best dance ever'

it could be any other dance, but NOT a VW

What more can you do with a VW? I seem to remeber Alesha's was good, what did they do differently? routine wise I mean.
It just had a better feel to it- probably not the phrase to use in relation to Strictly, but it had the X factor

I know VW is a hard dance to wow with, but it has been done- Ray, Emma, Mark, Ricky W, Alesha etc.

Undermarked? No. Fairly marked, I think. She didn't look entirely comfortable.

I still believe it was worth at least a 9, even watching it back.
Even Natalie's Jive got an 8!

I don't think Laila ever looks comfortable dancing, she always looks slightly worried! She never sparkles and doesn't have any connection with Anton when they are dancing.

Anton did overhype this VW and I think you could tell Laila was disappointed with their score after he'd told her it was worth tens. I'm surprised the judges didn't comment on their obvious stumble in front of them. Maybe if they had, their marks might have made more sense to the public.

The scores were fair, I think. The music track sort of killed the 'romance' of the dance. And let's face it, there's not an awful lot you can do to make a VW stand out! If you do manage it then you've done rather well! Brendan and Kelly's was fairly original, as I recollect.

She did stumble, it was a smidge skippy in places as the judges mentioned, but it was a clean and safe VW. No real wow, like Mark and Karens/Alesha and Matthews VWs from a few years back.

Anton is such a c*ck with the things he says. Why hype it up and put enormous pressure on Laila by saying it's a potential 10 dance? That said, I still thought it was a delight and slightly undermarked, esp when Ali got a 9 from Len for her paso and Nat Cassidy got such high marks.
Are they afraid to criticise a larger lady? That jive looked poor to me because she's not light enough on her feet. I'm fed up with watching her dance. Nat should have gone last night, not Zoe. Can the lardy women at home stop voting for her please - she's gone as far as she can, and I'm tired of her, 'I'll always give it my best' chat.
Why is she applauded for her efforts but when Tufnell points out the training hours he's put in, he's shot down in flames?
