By voting for Zoe she left it up to Len to say who left

Her choice, why's it an issue?

Alesha really liked Zoe I think she really did prefer her

Sorry, I don't get you. She found it hard to decide but in the end picked the one she preferred.

Alesha voted for who she wanted, Zoe. No surprise there.

I much preferred Zoe too - Ali wasn't very good tonight

She gave Ali an 8 and Zoe a 9 .... Seems to me she stuck with her original opinion of their performances

I actually agreed with Alesha as Ali was obviously injured and imho her DO performance suffered for it.

Alesha was completely torn, she went with who she wanted, what an awful job judging is sometimes

Alesha got it right...unfortunately Ali was not good enough to survive that DO on merit (perfectly understandably).

To me Alesha was the only one with any b**ls,if i can say that.I thought Ali & Brian's dance-off was very poor & as much as both couples shouldn't have been there,Ali should have gone but i knew the judges wouldn't do it.
I had both couples in the final & i give credit to Aleasha in a very dificult situation.

Agree with what some others said, on dance-off alone, which they say it's supposed to be judged on, Zoe did better and Alesha made the right choice. The performance side of it Zoe upped and made less mistakes. Ali went the other way. The other judges copped out of judging it on the dance-off alone by effectively saying 'you both made mistakes, so we'll pick who we think is the best dancer overall'.

i thought the dancers were only allowed to be judged on their performance in the DO and not for previous/future (potential-wise) dances. or did i get that wrong?

i personally think Alesha made the right choice (but again, that's just my opinion, just like it was hers).

Agree with most people in here. I might not like Alesha but she was in a hard position and to be fair Ali messed up a lot more then Zoe did in the dance off (atleast to me it was a lot more obvious that Ali messed up). They change their mind all the time whether they are voting on potential or the dance or the dance earlier in the night. Atleast Alesha was consistant and went for who she thought was better (which shockingly I agreed with).

I think Alesha made absolutely the right decision tonight, but both dancers should not have been in the DO. I know ali had an injury but Zoe was far better in the dance off and that is where it matters.

Alesha was wrong, imo, but her opinion wasn't absurd. And she favoured Zoe in her marks, so her choice wasn't surprising.

(How much someone messes up is not all that's important, btw. I disagree with some posters about that.)

She was the only one that didn't bottle it!

Is this your honest opinion?

They all bottled it. Faced with a ridiculous public vote they should have refused to send anyone home and left the BBC to sort out the mess.As it is they are likely to end up with a competition where they will be lucky to get even 2 of the strongest dancers to the QF. People vote to save and they had saved the people who ought to have gone so there was no legal problem with the public vote. The BBC couldn't sack them all. The problem is that the show is probably unviable with the public vote and certainly unviable with the current counting rules where the weakest dancers get more than 1 point. The judges can either sit there in charge of a nonsense competition where they are ignored or they can use what power they have.

Wasn't what I saw. They both made mistakes. Zoe had half a routine with periods of nothing much between the more intense activity. Ali added the attitude that was missing the first time around and had a stronger routine anyway .

The judges refusing to judge because they don't agree with the public phone vote is simply NOT an option. The rules are clear. Judges award points based on technical and artistic merit, GBP votes on whatever criteria they like. Judges get to save one of the two that end in the dance off. If they don't agree with the two in the dance off - tough. They still have to choose.

I agree that neither should have been there. It should have been Craig and someone else. But based on the two that ended up there for me, Zoe danced better than Ali. Ali had an injured foot and it showed, and Zoe deffinitely danced better the second time AND danced better than Ali. So far from bottling it, Alesha was the ONLY judge to choose based on the dance off and NOT potential or some other mystical criteria thought up on the spot.

I could not agree more. They keep saying it's about the Dance Off, and Alesha was the ONLY judge that stuck to the rules, and although Ali is usually better than Zoe, on this occasion, this was not the case.

Well done Alesha

I think it was a terribly difficult decision to make considering that the two couples were too good to be in the dance off but Alesha made her decision and I respect her for it. I don't see her as bottling anything.

Ridiculous statement

Alesha didn`t bottle out of anything.
