Terrestrial TV + Humax HDR With ONE Coax Cable

I want to resurrect my Humax HDR, currently powered off in the attic. I'm looking for a single cable solution that will support FULL HDR functionality, terrestrial analogue TV and digital terrestrial TV (whenever this comes to Ireland).

I have one free, double shielded satellite grade cable, running from the attic to the TV. I have full access to the satellite dish and the aerial and cost is not an issue. Neither is replacing the LNB which is readily accessible.
Any thoughts??
Is the Single Cable Distribution (SCD) viable?

SCD hasn't proven to have great performance and we at Humax haven't attempted to promote its' use as a result.

Personally/unofficially, in my opinion, where money was less of an object I would recommend the use of a Stacker/Destacker such as that listed here:

Or if you have even more money, can replace the cable but would love a smaller cable I really can recommend Global Invacom's Fibre Optic output LNBs.

The stacker/destacker as described, you will see is no longer available from this source. "Aerial Shack" would be an alternative resource for such a device.

No, it was removed because of far too many complaints about them not working.

A stacker is really a last ditch desparate hope, but is very critical about the coaxial cable used.

Thanks for the reply. It's a real shame that the SCD approach is not working out. I think I'll have a go with the stacker/destacker, at least it has the advantage of handling terrestrial TV as well.

(My issue is the internal routing for the cable(s), which is not in ducting, and impossible to replace. I don't want to have cable runs down external wals. Therefore, my only viable options are the single Coax or a single Cat 5, both of which are in situ. When I rewired the house, about 8 years ago, Cat 5 was state of the art. I should have thrown in a few runs of FO!)

Is there anything in particular I should be aware of? The cable is commercial grade coax, in excellent condition, and is a single run of about 25 meters. I'd be splicing in the terrestrial signal using a low-loss diplexor with F Connectors. Any particular models I should use? (I have access to trade channels.)

to bring sat signal & tv signal down 1 cable all you need is a diplxer in the loft & another one downstairs

I've never heard of any specific recommendations, but diplexors are pretty basic devices.

For a trade show this year I built a kit consisting of two fibre LNBs, 75m of armoured 4-core fibre and in a flight case: a gigabit network switch and a 9 input 24 output RF distribution switch*.

It allowed me to get any of the signals I needed into any device we had on display. I was tired of manually patching things and not being able to rely on anything.

*DiSEqC switching between two different dishes on all outputs and one terrestrial.

I have recently installed a Stacker/unstacker very successfully at my parents house. I simply installed a new dish and LNB (the hard bit) and plugged in the stacker and it worked first time.
