Lean on me & music download

Does anyone know who sung lean on me? and also where is the best place to download music from? i only need to download the 1 song so don't want to download a load of extras on to my pc

I use the altavista music search to download music...that way you dont have to download any illegal programs or get any spyware etc...if you want new songs though then it is not very good...but there are a lot of oldies...

I think Bill Withers sung Lean on Me

Marvin Gaye may have sung it as well - not sure.

Yes, its been covered by lots of people but the original was written and sung by Bill Withers and for me, the original is still the best. FYI, Bill Withers wrote other classics like "Ain't No Sunshine" and "Lovely Day".

Gorky your a legend thanks for that but would you believe it the Daily Mail has it on the complementry CD that comes with the paper but i really would like to get the jazzed up version if you have any ideas they will be gratefully recieved

Hmmm....its been covered by so many people so I'm not sure which version you mean. I'm sure I could find it for you if we knew the version.....
