Anyway, Joss is completly right. It is all about the singing. The proof is in the pudding. Look at Leona & Alexandra, that tells you all you need to know.”

This kind of statement really gets my goat....honest to god what's the point of expressing anything on a forum if you're only allowed to comment with some kind of bloody credentials.....Totally and utterly asinine.

I didn't see her on The Xtra Factor but I can just imagine sort of rubbish that obviously came out of her mouth. She's so hollier than thou. Does she still have a fake American accent or has she changed her mind about that? I think it was on Radio 1 yesterday they were saying she was going to their red carpet reporter for something or other, maybe the MTV Awards? I can't think of anything worse!

I searched for this thread cos I thought it must have been discussed already but I couldn't find it. Joss Stone related though: http://showbiz.sky.com/joss-stone-li...-isnt-a-singer Didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I was reading this!

I agreed with her actually. She may have a personality that isn't understood and widely criticised, however she has a great voice and I've loved most of her stuff.

Simon Cowell harps on about it being a singing competition. Yet he would have had the final say on whether J&E went through to the final 12. He says it's a singing competition but sent the vote to deadlock when Lloyd was out of tune and Rachel sang her best. He says its a singing competition but refuses to acknowledge when Danyl sings under par or out of tune.

Simon Cowell is one big hypocrite and should move on.

And take his X Factor with him.

Yep

I much preferred Pop Idol. Whether it is about the singing anymore or not, that's why I tune in. Not to see 18-year-old boys larking about on stage taking the pee, not to see the judges bicker and not to hear Simon's worn out cliches.

Oh I think it is a singing contest, if it were not then the others would all do a 'J&E' or add alsorts of stunts totheir acts to gain votes.

I think this year we are seeing just what the public will vote for - is it an Emperors New Clothes syndrome perhaps? I dont know what it is but it is gathering momentum of that there is no doubt.
