I actually cared.

I screamed when Chris and Ola made it through They'd have been gone in the dance-off

I'm also pleased to see James getting another early bath

Seeing James Jordan go made my night! I was really worried in the dance off because I really like Brian and Ali.

tee hee - me too

Jade and Ian are my faves so delighted they were called early on

I have heard many rumours about how popular chris and ola are with the public so knew they would go through

glad zoe went over ali - although ali really needs to up her performance in the latin

a satisfying result all round!

Ali and Brian looked very shaky in the dance-off too. They totally deserve to stay though. I still think they can win the whole thing!

Previous female winners.
Natasha - 1st series - can't draw many conclusions
Jill - bags of personality
Alesha - don't like her but bags of personality

Ali

I wouldn't say this was a strong series though. It's her vs Ricky on the dancing ability and Ricky's personality is going to send votes elsewhere.

I've been hooked to the results more than the dances the whole series. I just really hope my favourites go through every week because I know they'll always end up in the middle of the leaderboard, sharing the same scores and therefore the same points with another couple edging them closer and closer to the danger zone.

I don't see Ricky W as a winner either. More likely than Ali but the public award the title.

I know he won't get to the final but I like Chris Hollins. The others are taking it too seriously and are a bit dull because of this.

I have a feeling it won't be ricky or ali

I think the person who said we will have a 'personality' dancer might be right...

Lol so you "can't draw many conclusions" from the first series because its winner would disprove your theory?

There were a lot fewer contestants in the 1st series but Natasha had a good story. She was very reluctant about it and improved enormously and grew to enjoy it. She hated it at first. So I voted for her because of her effort.

So that is personality rather than talent.

I do see what you mean - still, the personality of that series had to be Chris Parker - he definitely didn't get into the final with his dancing ability

I yelled in delight when Chris went through.

I can totally appreciate that Zoe and Ali danced better but I didn't enjoy watching them as much. Chris certainly isn't horrible dancer and there is a lot of chemistry in his pairing with Ola which makes their dances enjoyable to watch.

I just hope he can keep making the improvements. His routine this week was simple but he seemed to remember it all and didn't a better performance. It'll likely be ballroom again next week so hopefully onwards and upwards for him.

I think chris always looks like he's putting everything into his dance and it just needs more finesse

I love his facial expressions and actually think they enhance the performance

Can't agree with 3 of the judges. If they are judging them just on the dance off Zoe and James were the better couple, much more convincing in their dance.

Ali's paso was mediocre and she had a terribly pained face all this evening. She seemd like she was in agony from her injury.

Think he has the Waltz or the VW nexxt week - don't discount him - he's very popular

You hit the nail on the head there. She WAS in agony, clearly. She could barely dance the first time, so how she was supposed to dance the second time with that injury... if she was in as much pain as she looked (and Brian did carry her) then she did well to get through the routine second time around and the judges did well to note that.

But, overall, I think Ali was the better one to save anyway.
