Antons dancing is clearly hampered by the wieght of the HUGE chip on his shoulder.

Vile vile man !
Stunned, strong words! Ouch, poor Anton. I wonder what he has done to you to justify such scorn?

They get on well, he gives her loads of praise (too much), they have done some lovely dances, apart from an unfortunate habit of saying the first thing that enters his mind, he seems really nice to me.

Not if they keep getting good marks and strong public support. Don't people understand that's what this programme's all about not the vested interest bile spewing out of tiny sections of these boards?!
Well thanks for that but actually I was just making a joke !!!! as Laila hasnt been in the dance off yet unlike the other girls who have been near the top of the board.....so dont accuse me of spewing bile please.......I reserve that for Ricky Wittle

I'm finding him a bit annoying this year. Plus, Laila must have felt very disappointed with the score after Anton made it out to be so wonderful.
I agree he is really annoying this year
Probably because he's usually been voted out by now!

I hated the music but I was entertained by the routine and voted for them. In my opinion the music chosen is really important - when it's grim and doesn't suit the dance my attention wanders.

It really underwhelmed me, her foxtort looked far more graceful than her VW, and Viennese Waltz is one of my favourite dances. She looked very shaky towards the end, and after everything Anton had said, I was disappointed. I did feel sorry for them both but Anton shouldn't have bigged it up.

He better watch out, if he continues grinning the way he does, he might find himself there (the dance-off). Some of the veiwers could find his crazy grin offensive.
Aw, Anton's cheesy grin makes my evening !

Ouch, bit harsh. This is the man who went through 6 series of having not very good dancers and didn't complain.

I was a little underwhelmed by the judge's comments, they were like 'meh, thanks for turning up Laila! Next!!'

They get more of a reaction when they stuff it up! Although Anton did seem very subdued didn't he? I reckon she'll give him hell tomorrow for over playing it. (or today...very dedicated pair)

I felt sorry for both of them. They got good marks and it was a good dance but they hardly received any praise because all the judges were banging on about her latin.

It was as though they couldn't enjoy the moment, and were being reminded that they will be rubbish in their next dance.

I agree. How strange going on and on about Laila's latin and virtually ignoring the dance they'd just done.

I felt sorry for him, thought it was a great VW that was undermarked.

Indeed he did. Hardly a chip. I wouldn't blame him if he did have one though!

I thought it was very odd to that the judges barely commented on the VW and went on and on about latin

He hasn't been through 6 series with not very good dancers as you put it. He has had two good dancers in Lesley Garrett and Patsy Palmer- coming third and fifth and regularly scoring over 30. Can't stand this myth everyone keeps harping on about that Anton has never had a good dancer. It's just not true.

Or the idea that he "never complains". It's all he ever does. He basically laughed in Gillian's face when he found out there were partnered.

Those positions are as good as he deserves when his latin is so much below par.

Yes apart from the "unfortunate" habit of making racist remarks to his partner he is very nice... Except for people who think that is not a very nice attribute.

Exactly why does he keep saying about always having not very good partners. If Patsy had someone else I'm sure she would have done much better.

So it's a habit now is it?
Everyone involved has moved on - why can't you?

The pair of them have some good training footage where Laila giggles a lot at his OTT predictions for their marks and from her glances at the camera appreciates the fun aspect of it all

They have a good rapport and their dance was lovely on Saturday night.

Beautiful dress too - one of few this year

I felt it was a copycat of Brendan and Lisa's fab VW last year, only not as breathtaking or danced as well.
Nice try though Anton lol.

Their VW did look like it could be something special in training.

But I think Anton harping on about the elusive '10' put too much pressure on Laila and she seemed to tense up during the actual performance. She was so conscious of not making any mistakes, that she never got lost in the dance.

The choice of music didn't help matters.

They are still my favourite couple though

One thing that did bug me was the judge's responses (their marks were fine). For the second week running, they had very little positive feedback for Laila. They almost forgot to congratulate her on a good effort with the VW and went back to slagging off her Latin!

Very true - especially Bruno, I seem to remember he harped on a bit about it.

I quite liked their Samba to be honest and at least their jive had me in kinks...mainly for the look of bewildered horror on both of their faces!

But the judges just didn't seem to bother even commenting this week

I did as well.

It had more bounce than any of the Sambas that night and Laila didn't make any obvious mistakes.

It was a fun routine, if a little cheesy!
