Aaron to win for me - I love the way he dances. I don't understand why he just isn't getting the public vote? Is he not liked in the US or something?

I think it was a travesty that Aaron went out. But it is now definitely Donny all the way for me. Although I am in agreement with the "anyone but the professional dancer Mya" view!

Me too.
We could say that over the series of SCD and DWR=TS we have had some pretty big ringers and people who have come in with remarkable dance talent -and I actually have no problem with that.

But Mya? She is just so humourless isnt she?

Completely agree I would like Donny to win or Joanna even though she isn't the best dancer but agree with the anyone but Mya haven't warm to her or Dmitry at all. Aaron and Mark should never have gone out before Mya and Kelly.

I disagree that Mark should not have gone before Kelly and Mya - his routines were all about being crowd pleasers rather than technically accurate, as witnessed by the jumps, splits, kicks and asssorted other stunts he threw into almost every dance. They were utterly calculated to please the viewers more than the judges, and I don't think he would have got as far withhout them. He didn't have the same dance ability that Mya does.

It might be fair to say that Dmitry and Mya should not resort to these tactics when she clearly can dance, but if other, less able dancers will include these elements to gain votes, why shouldn't she?

For me, what is more shocking is that Kelly has made it to the quarter finals and has only danced ballroom in week one.

I want either Donny (and I've never been a fan of his at all) or Kelly to win. There is something about Joanna that I don't like. Mya and Dmitry are annoying me as they keep putting stupid gimmicks in their routines and Mya said something along the lines of she wanted to put the gimmicks in regardless what Len said. Aaron was a little too smug for me and I felt like he thought he was better than he actually was.

There is something fundamentally when the celeb is so dominant when it comes to choreography in the training room. I think she is beautiful, talented and very ambitious - and I think that's why she comes over as humourless. It is like this is just another job for her, not a learning experience.

I would really like Kelly to win
Before she started dancing I was dreading seeing Kelly on the show as I can't stand her mother, but I really like her. Unfortunately her dancing just isn't good enough for me to want her to win.

WOW! I hadn't realised that! Definitely bad organisation by the producers. There was uproar on the SCD board last year when a celeb (John Sergeant), didn't dance a fast Latin until week 5.

I think Mark is a better dancer than Aaron and Kelly and although I agree he did a lot of crowd pleasing stuff, when he did dance I thought it was very elegant for a man with great lines, quick, neat footwork and lovely arms. I think he lost votes because of Lacey tbh. He would have done better with another pro I reckon.

Here is a list of her dances:

Week 1 Viennese Waltz and Cha Cha Cha
Week 2 Tango
Week 3 Samba
Week 4 Charleston
Week 5 Paso Doble and Group Hustle
Week 6 Jitterbug and Group Mambo
Week 7 Salsa and Group Tango
Week 8 (Quarter Final) Foxtrot and 60's Jive
Week 9 (Semi Final) Supposed to be Quickstep, Rumba and Two Step.

Isn't Tango classed as a ballroom dance?

I was going off what they said on the show, but yes, Tango is classed as Ballroom, so she'd done two before the foxtrot that week.

Whilst having new dances has worked out well in some ways, I think it means we may get to the final and not have everyone having done the same dances? Unless Joanna is doing Charleston, Two Step and Jitterbug this week? and Donny would need to do the Two Step and Lambada, plus the salsa I think.

Just seems a bit messy.

Did John Sargeant ever really do fast latin I may have repressed the memory. I vaguely remember a cha-cha-cha but I don't think anyone would have called it fast!

I'm not sure Mark lost out because of Lacey - Lance did ok with her in her first year, and she was a lot more 'out there' in choreogrpahy terms then. I think he was a bit like Aaron in his movements, in that it was quick and neat but I didn;t find it very graceful - it always looked a little hard to me.

LOL! I don't blame you for repressing the memory!

He did do a Samba in week 5, although like the CCC you'd be hard pushed to call it fast! By fast I meant the Samba, CCC, Jive etc. and slow would be the Rhumba or maybe the AT. He did do the Group Merengue in Week 2 with the rest of the male celebs when the female celebs were dancing solo for the first time and he was dreadful. JS also did the Group Rueda in Week 4 - also dreadful!

I thought Lacey was pretty moody and impatient this year and because she came over like that to me, I wondered if others saw her like that and that's why I think she lost them votes. Mark seemed a more gentler man than Lance (I'm not saying Lance is hard) and I felt Mark wasn't as comfortable with Lacey as Lance was. Maybe it was an age thing - Lance is much closer in age to Lacey and Mark is old enough to be her father. Lance and Lacey did have a good partnership.

Yep, I've definitely blanked all those JS dances!

I didn't feel that way about Lacey this series, but she was definitely pushier with Mark than she was with Steve-o, for obvoius reasons. I also think, last time round, she knew there was no hope and they just had fun. I think she expected Mark to pick things up quicker than he did, but I also suspect that he drove her mad by being such a perfectionist about the little things - Lacey strikes me as one who'll go for diversion over perfection. I do think Mark might have done better with Edyta, maybe, or Cheryl, who are better at dealing with celebs who are not 'natural' performers.

I think you are right. Not a good pairing really - Cheryl in particular I think would have been good for Mark or Kym maybe.

I'm sure Cheryl would have been fab with Mark, but I don't think there's another pro on the show who could have got a decent performance out of Tom DeLay, and with Kym, she seems to be really good with the big 'characters', like Donny and Warren, whereas Mark was a lot quieter.

Bookies are going
Mya 4/6
Donny 6/4
Kelly 7/1

Mya and Donny have the edge because they already have a fanbase from their music.
I want Donny to win if he dances well and doesn't get hammered by Mya in the 4 dances.
If Mya wins the dances well then she deserves to win it.
Kelly is starting to play dirty with Donny and Mya. She has got a bit of mother in her so i hope she doesn't win.

Mya if we're going by best dancer - without a shadow of a doubt.

Or Joanna - shows Lisa Snowdon how models CAN dance.

Kelly is only carried by public vote and Donny just doesn't do it for me.

Not sure what you mean by playing dirty. Has she been giving interviews or something? And "bit of mother in her"? I can't imagine anyone less like a mother, she's far too much a grown up "little girl". And anyway, why shouldn't "a mother" win?

In all the interview's I have read Kelly has been really lovely. In fact Donny and Kelly were joking with each other yesterday, on Twitter. I think Donny will win because he has a huge fan base, if it was just judged on dancing then Mya would win. I would like Kelly to win, because I feel I have learnt to dance with her, she hasn't always found it easy, but she has hung in there, and I have found that endearing.

I don't know about the playing dirty thing, but I think there was a word missing from the original, as I read it as 'She has a bit of HER mother in her'.
