Yes I think the right people won though, as always, there were others who were just as good. It's a question of who does the best performance on the night. Last year I voted for Rachel Stevens but was not at all unhappy when Tom Chambers won, he was excellent. The year before, I voted for Alesha and I doubt anyone would argue that she was the best that year. Poor Kelly Brook was probably equal but of course she had to retire.
I don't particularly care who wins this year and haven't voted so far. I have a soft spot for Ali Bastion and admire Ricky Whittle and Jade but some of the enthusiastic characters, like Natalie Cassidy, deserve to stay in a bit longer imo. |

HA!
Ill vote for Healey too... but that contradicts my OP!! Given the final 3 we had last year I'm relatively happy Tom won (should have been austin in his place though...) Lizzzzzzza was ridiculously overmarked all series, and Rachel wouldve been a competent winner (but a vote for boredom though...) PERSONLITY is always a factor in SCD... |

How about you?? Seried 2 didn't really follow closely enough. Series 3 Zoe Ball should have won with Colin Jackson second, though once Zoe was eliminated Darren was actually much better in the show dance. Series 4 yes, although Matt Dawson would have been equally acceptable. Series 5 have to say yes really. Series 6 Rachel should have won with Lisa second, but once in the final Tom's show dance was excellent so can't complain about him winning on the strength of it. |

My winners would have been exactly the same, except Gethin would have beaten Alesha.

Series One- No, should have been Claire Sweeney
Series Two- Yes, although Denise would have been equally acceptable. Series Three- No (love Darren to bits though)- Colin should have won Series Four- No, Emma should have won (much preferred Matt and Mark though) Series Five- Yes, but on the final only it could reasonably have gone to Matt as well. Series Six- No, Rachel should have won. Of course in the terms of the competition, the person who "deserves" to win is the one who pleases the judges and the public most- in those terms, whoever wins is always the right winner. |

Can't argue with first 5 really, I loved Jill. Although I preferred Matt DA, I was OK with Alesha winning, but Austin so should have won last year and without the pimping of Lisa by the judges, he maybe would have, or at least would have come second.
He should definitely have made the final if nothing else though, but he wasn't doing the tour last year, was he?

God ... needs some thought so thanks to those who puts the names as a reminder
S1 - Natasha Kaplinsky - Yes. Had her "lightbulb" moment in the Foxtrot (meh... what IS IT about that dance that switches them on, but totally turns me OFF!) S2 - Jill Halfpenny - yes, although I would have been v happy with Denise as they were far and away the best dancers S3 - Darren was the best dancer on the night (hee! Puppet-Gate did for Colin)... I would have been happy with either of them - Zoe would have been equally as worthy S4 - As above - by the time the final came about Emma, Mark and Matt were really the most worthy dancers... Happy for Ramps though, and Bad Baby Bunton would have been a good 'un too S5 - I think Alesha was a more worthy winner than Matt would have been - just more consistent, I feel S6 - Absolutely NOT! I think it ought to have been Lisa and Rachel with either to win, but that being said - Li/Bren's show dance was unintentionally hilarious ... Didn't think Tom had been all that... Austin Healy would have been a much more worthy finalist/potential winner too S7... hmmmm [/scratches head and wonders what will happen... ] |

The biggest no for me is series 3. Colin or Zoe should have won that.

I have been reasonably happy with all the winner except last year when it should have been Austin and if not him then Rachel.

1. Didn't watch.
2. Didn't watch but Jill or Denise were both amazing. 3. No, Zoe Ball. 4. No, Emma Bunton. 5. Yes, Alesha was amazing. 6. NO, NO, NO, NO, don't even get me started! Rachel was the best in my opinion, but Lisa and Austin would have been better winners than Tom. |

Series 3 - Zoe Ball should have won.
Series 4 - Emma was probably the best dancer overall. Series 6 - Rachel should have won. |

Colin was by far the best dancer in his series imo.
Think Rachel should definitely have won last year. |

1-didn't watch
2-didn't watch 3-yes. Darren Gough's decision not to dance with puppets was a winning choice. ![]() 4-no. I preferred Louisa. But in terms of the final two, Mark WAS a worthy champion. 5-yes. Alesha was the best by a long shot. 6-unsure. I thought Tom's showdance was brilliant, so he deserved to win on that alone. Overall, I would've preferred Austin to win though. I just couldn't warm to Lisa. 7-TBC. |

Yes - apart from Zoe and Colin, one of whom should have won Series 3.
Rachel may have been technically great but she had zero personality and the same problem persists this year with the judges' favourites. That's why a huge schism is opening up between their chosen ones and the contestants winning the public vote. Only beef for Series 6 is that it should have been a Austin/Tom/Rachel final. Lisa Snowdon was appallingly overmarked and not worthy of a place in the final. On that occasion, at least, the public DID get it right! (After LS could no longer be protected by the judges ... This thread is opening up a few old wounds, isn't it?! ![]()

1. Yes, although I think Clare and Lesley would have been fairly deserving.
2. Yes, Jill just sneaked it ahead of Denise for me although I wouldn't have minded if Denise had won. 3. In terms of over all ability, probably not. I think that honour should have gone to Colin. In terms of what happened on the night I think fair enough. But forget puppet gate: Goughie had the votes from the word go and Colin was never going to win. 4. Empahtically yes. Emma was the most skilled and consistant but she gave fairly sterile performances, and Mark lit up the floor. He had the right mix of performance and ability, more so than the other two he faced in the semi's and final. 5. I think Alesha deserved her win, although I think her latin was vastly overrated technically, but her performance was great. Matt probably shouldn't have got through after the dreaded MD episode, but he was good throughout and a worthy rival to Alesha. 6. Hmm. Not sure what to make off Tom. That showdance was sublime, and he had some decent efforts throughout. Rachel was technically good, like Emma Bunton before her. Lisa's latin for me was overated. And again, it's debatable whether Tom should have got through. I'm sitting on the fence garnering splinters on this one!

Yes i think all the winners have been fine. They've not all been my favourite but they're all worthy of the glitterball.
