series 1 - yes
series 2 - yes (loved their jive)
series 3 - yes ( but i wouldn't have minded colin jackson winning but puppetgate lost it for them love erin though)
series 4 - yes (mark's salsa with the perfect 40 how could they not win)
series 5 - yes (didn't mind alesha but would have prefered matt or gethin to win)
series 6 - YES (but it should have been a tom and austin final - it would have been so much more entertaining & comparing lisa's showdance with austin's jive that he came back to do, austin was so much better and him and tom would have been equally worthy winners)

1. - Didn't watch so I can't comment
2 - Yes, although I would have been just as happy with Denise Lewis
3 - No, Zoe or Colin should have won - my vote would have been for Zoe
4 - Meh. I thought Louisa was better than Mark (didn't like his ballroom) but wasn't much to choose between them.
5 - Definitely
6 - No. Austin and Rachel were better dancers than Tom and Austin had the public support too. Judges screwed up by putting Lisa through over Austin

Natasha Kaplinsky - no; I though Claire Sweeney was better.
Jill Halfpenny - no. Jill was great (and the jive memorable), but imo Denise Lewis should've won.
Darren Gough - no. Both Zoe Ball and Colin Jackson were better. Ian robbed again, because he had an unpopular partner.
Mark Ramprakash - yes, but Louisa Lytton should have been in the final with him.
Alesha Dixon - yes. Although it would have been interesting to see Kelly Brooks progress if she had not withdrawn due to her father's death.
Tom Chambers - no. Rachel Stevens all the way.

Only 2 yes votes out of 6.

Shows what I know.

Series 1 - Yes, Natasha was the best dancer. Pity about the Christopher Parker farce though.
Series 2 - Would personally have gone for Denise, but had no problems with Jill as the winner.
Series 3 - The only final where the three best dancers ended up in the final (with probably the 4th best eliminated in the semi). Colin for me was the best dancer of the series, being more elegant and polished than Zoe, but Darren out-danced Colin in the show dance and so deserved to win on the night.
Series 4 - Yes, although Emma Bunton should have been in the final ahead of Matt. Although Emma was probably the most consistent dancer, Mark's best reached a standard that no-one else could match, and he was a deserved winner.
Series 5 - Yes. Alesha was in my view the best dancer in the series. A pity Kelly Brooks had to pull out prematurely (ooh, er). Gethin should really have been in the final ahead of Matt though.
Series 6 - No. Austin Healey should have won. He was very unlucky to go when he did, being stuffed by a combination of the allocation of dances and the ludicrous over-marking of Lisa Snowdon. In the final I thought Tom deserved to win with his show dance.

Series 1 - Although I loved Christopher Parker. Without a doubt the right dancer won.
Series 2 - I had no problems with winner, although I would rate Denise's QS higher than Jill's Jive!
Series 3 - Yes, as much as I hate to say it, Erin blew it, therefore on the night the showdance won/lost it.
Series 4 - Yes, but I do think the Final should have been, Emma, Louisa and Mark.
Series 5 - No. I thought Matt was the better dancer on the night.
Series 6 - No. As great as that showdance was, I feel the exit of JS and the mess up with the voting meant that Tom got to the final by default.

series 1 natasha was brill
2 - jill was good and still is!!
3 darren not so sure.... but he improved a lot..
4 Mark was amazing..
5 alesha no didnt like her latin... overmarked on some ballroom
6 tom not a chance.... should have been out in semi's biggest con on strictly, should have been lisa and rachel final two, lisa's ballroom was stunning, rachels latin was good esp rumba, tom should have been out

Zoe Ball should have won series 3.

Series 1- didn't watch
Series 2- Yes, Jill was ace, wouldn't have been unhappy with Denise either
Series 3- Yes
Series 4- Definitely!
Series 5- No. Gethin would have been my winner. And I thought that Matt outdanced Alesha on the actual final itself. But when it was actually down to Matt and Alesha I wasn't surprised she won.
Series 6. Yes, but I would have liked to have seen Austin in the final with Tom and Rachel. Both Tom and Austin had the mix of ability and personality!

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes. Every winner had a combination of great dancing, a great partnership and great performances. They're dances are as still as exciting to watch now as they were then.

Series 1- Claire Sweeney was the best overall so she should have won really, although my winners would have been Lesley and Anton.
Series 2- Jill was definitely the right winner.
Series 3- Should have been Colin Jackson
Series 4- Difficult one this. Personally I'd have gone for Louisa.
Series 5- Alesha was the right winner
Series 6- Another difficult one. Probably should have been Rachel.

Her samba, jive, paso and cha-cha were awful, most overmarked dances last year, which is something when you take into account Lisa's cha-cha and foxtrot.

Series one: didn't really watch

Series 2: YES, YES YES !!!!!!!

Series 3: my heart says yes but my head says no should really have been Colin Jackson.

Series 4: NO, should have been Emma Bunton.

Series 5: Yes, Alesha was the right winner.

Series 6: No, I quite glad Tom won but to be fair Racheal should have had it.

1 and 2 made sense.

3 Was a case of the story v excellence. The story was strong even if on ability Zoe and Colin should have been the top 2 .

4 was a complete nonsense. Matt was weak and no real competition. The result was either going to be one sided or a farce. The competition was Emma and she wasn't even in the final which devalued the win. Emma's competiton was Louisa and that battle was also left in an unsatisfactory way.

5 Alesha was the right winner but her opposition wasn't there at key stages as Gaby, Kelly and Gethin went too early and we never saw her challenged fully.

6 was a nonsense. Tom was the weakest of the last 3 or 4 and his one good showdance came after most votes were in. Not sure how you should reward an actor practically acting a 30s film scene anyway. Tom didn't have a journey story apart from down the aisle , hadn't got much better at dancing than he was early on and his acting was decidedly ham. Austin just vanished without their competition being resolved and none of the top females had any votes from Cherie to Lisa to Rachel. There was no good reason for this other than that female voters tend to think think males have likeable personalities and find fault with females who are not like them . The tour showed what happened when people actually voted on the dancing. The whole thing was also distorted more by the JS issue . It was a triumph for the anti-judge vote followed by a vote on sex appeal not dancing.

This year looks even worse. The third best dancer already is out,the three and possibly 4 top females don't have any votes, the runaway winner may or may not, the people we know have votes who might make the final are far worse than Louisa, Austin, Cherie or even Matt. The voting is more sexist than ever and we have potentially 3 people in JS mode who wil be very difficult to remove and won't walk.

Can anyone who thinks Rachel should have won remember any of her dances without looking them up?

Yes. I was only playing my faves on the iplayer the other week.

Even though not popular I loved her Jive, and their VW was utterly charming.

I also loved her American Smooth and was surprised she was in the DO with it.

Argentine Tango - Spoke for itself, as did her Rumba and Tango.

I will admit that the others become a little bit of a blur (and I didn't really like her Paso), but those six routines imho were top notch.

To you maybe, but there were a lot of people who did actually like her. As I said I often re-watch her routines and in particular her AS and Jive.

Not to everyone.

Doubt if I would recall some of your favourites - but I wouldn't imply they were all forgettable.

Rachel wasn't dull to me either, and neither were her dances.

Just as well we all have different opinions.

3. Zoe or Colin should have won
4. The final two should have been Louisa & Mark.
6. Rachel or Austin should have won. (Rachel was the better dancer, Austin more popular).

Rachel wasn't a particularly gregarious person - but this is a dance show & all I care about is the dancing.

I watched her Rhumba again recently. There's nothing dull about that - in fact I'd forgotten how good it was!

Best ever Strictly Rhumba.

I liked her, my point was I think that was the difference between her winning and losing. She could dance really well, her and Vincent worked well together but her routines even when flawless weren't memorable, the exceptions being her rhumba and AT.
