Bloody hell ITV Get a grip - how difficult is it to set record points so PVR's active when the are mean't too.. I missed the first 20 minutes

Dont get me started on Channel 4 and missing the end off programs, because I've been treated to a record of the pre adverts

Same Happens with Analouge transmissions to me
with Analouge you can choose whether to use record points or not
I allways add 15 minutes on to time for and turn automode off on vcr,
on freesat I still add 15 minutes but dont think it is possible to
not use record points, though I am not certain if they really exist at all
though series record does seem quite clever!
I have panasonic rather than Humax, and am interested if anyone knows more?

Recorded perfectly here - nothing special was done.

Wish I hadn't bothered, though.

I got sick of ITV not recording stuff - now, when I want to record something on ITV HD, I set it to record on London ITV. Seems to work every time - and did for Star Wars

I set my Technomate box up to record the first and second parts. First part was hour and a quarter of the ITV HD default screen Second half was recorded but I have not checked it all the way through.

I am puzzled by how some have been able to record the first part, when it clearly was not present on the transponder that the HD signal comes from. Did they maybe record the first bit in SD?

I can't vouch for the beginning of the first part but I watched about the last 30 min of the first part in HD via the red button. I did not record it though. May be that's why the OP lost the first 20 min.

Hello Graham.

I have only checked the first thirty minutes of part one, so I'll see if the rest is there.

BTW whats happened to the Hummy forum?

As I recorded via a FTA receiver I cannot confirm the appearance of the red button but ALL of both parts where in HD with the second half only having one ad break in it or it may have been none but for sure it was’nt many.

Picture quality was much, much better than last weeks Star Wars.

There's a problem with the dns server that requires an entry in your host file to get access to hummy.org. Google Hosts File to find it's location on your OS. The last line here needs adding

127.0.0.1 localhost
77.74.196.104 www.hummy.org.uk

Just found the old link from when this happened before

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...9&postcount=47

Because I still had the entry in my hosts file I have not had any problems logging in
