This is what is causing the best (higher scoring) dancers to be in the dance offs.

But this is what the GPB wanted isnt it.......more influence over the results week by week, and thats exactly what we have got. They did this BECAUSE of all the complaints over a couple not being able to be saved when they were bottom. In past series at this stage of the competition the top couple would have had 10 points and bottom 1 point and it would mean that really the very top were safe unless they were deeply unpopular NOW the leaderboard really CAN be turned on its head, the judges dont like it but it is because of their blatant manipulation of the result in the past that this has happened.

Frankly if Ali and Zoe had been popular enough with the public they wouldnt have been in the dance off. ....its votes that count now more than ever.

HOWEVER I DO think that the 15 minute voting whilst dancing is going on is ridiculous and should be changed.

Not quite correct. They'd have been safe because the results needed would be mathematically improbable. The couple top of the leaderboard (if they are getting the least votes) only really drops into the bottom 2 when we get down to 4 or 5 couples.
